I waited months for this movie to come out. I was disappointed in HEAT years ago when they only shared moments of screen time and I was hoping for more in RK. AND It delivered! Yes!!! Al Pacino and Robert Deniro are invincible in this movie. The great twist is the they change roles. What we are used to seeing from these two masters is switched and I liked that. Al Pacino is rather subdued compared to the Al we all know and love and Robert Deniro is a bit more of a hothead. That was great. It is a good story, well acted, and for an actor a real lesson in craft. GO and for actors, learn!
David and Goliath story. Well written, the characters are developed to a wonderful pitch. Wonderful ensemble cast, story of the utter destruction of the dreams and hopes of one lowly engineer trying to fight for what is right. Greg Kinnear's amazingly honest, believable performance is just a pleasure to watch. His portrayal of a man fighting for his life's work, for what is his, for his Intellectual property is so clear and concise. A lesson that a father needed to impart on his impressionable children far outweighed the monetary band-aid that was offered as a bribe. The film has a such a mechanical feel, colors are muted, sets are "crowded" it is almost as if we are inside the mind of an engineer genius. It really sets the mood. Enjoy!
