Hero's Journey Eloquently told

“The Dark Knight” – fabulous portrayal of psyche’s good vs. evil with Heath Ledger immortalizing the Joker archetype. Gives us 2 faces of the hero, not ony Batman/Joker but the crusading DA who ultimately succumbs to the dark side. But the higher ground triumphs in a scene of two ferry boats , one loaded with good the other with evil. Each given the mandate that one must blow the other up OR Joker will do blow them both up at midnight. Given the opportunity for the good side to kill off the bad side or the bad side to wipe out the good – neither does. Hurrah for mankind! Good may triumph but not just yet as Batman scapegoats himself to lift up the (DA’s) name for what he tried to do …because mankind is not yet evolved enough to go past blame and still needs a hero. All of which is …hooray for Holywood. People are devouring this film, seeing it 2,3,7 times. Lots of big scale action with little gore. Comic book violence superbly done.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
