I absolutely loved this movie! This movie put me on the edge of my seat at times, made me laugh and cry! Beauty and the Beast was always my favorite disney classic but I think this movie has replaced it ! Ok, I loved it. Forgive me for not being critical enough, but I really don't have many bad things to say about it. I was thoroughly entertained throughout the movie. It was everything that I wanted it to be and more! First off, as great as it sounded and looked to begin with, my only concern was that it seems off for Disney fairy tales to not be hand-drawn. I was thinking that it might have been better to do the same for Tangled. I was totally wrong actually. The animation was beautiful. Certain movies work better with different styles of animation, and this one worked. It's a great mixture of traditional and CGI animation, to create something amazing. The colors and visuals were just outstanding.
Ok, about the movie itself now. The beginning felt exactly like the opening of a classic Disney movie. It only got better from there. I'm not going to go through the movie from the beginning to the end, but I'll specify on everything that stood out to me. It was amazing to see the character development of Flynn. He went from a conceited, oblivious guy with no substance into an understanding, deep guy. Rapunzel became really brave and much more clever.
Favorite part was definitely when they walked into the Snuggling Duckling and it was filled with all these tough guys. I cracked up at that, and then it only got better. Everything about the whole confrontation was hilarious. Then they started singing. "I've Got a Dream" was my favorite song without a doubt. It was not only funny, but really inspiring and sent a great message. This seems like an appropriate time to transist into my critique of the songs. They were all really reminscent of classic Disney. Even though "I've Got a Dream" was my personal favorite, "I See The Light" was also incredible. I can totally hear it being placed in a future Disneyland Fireworks Spectacular, or some sort of Disney show. It was just sooo touching and beautiful. The entire Lantern scene was. I felt so great watching it. The other songs were great too, but those two really stuck out to me.
Also, kudos to the supporting characters of Pascal and Max. They added the spice of comic relief that was really important to the film. A lot of classic slapstick humor in this movie, which I loved. And all of the funny lines were really well-written and able to make people of all ages laugh. Not little-kid jokes, and not much particularly mature humor. Just universally funny.
Well now I'm done rambling about the epic-ness that was Tangled. Maybe I'm just biased because I always love Disney fairy tales and I had high expectations, but I really did love it a ton. If you don't like this sort of thing, I don't recommend it at all because you may think it's cheesy. But if you love classic Disney, I think that you'll love it. Cartoon out!

Tangled is definitely one of the best movies Disney (or any other animation co.) has put out in a long time. My whole family walked out of the theater surprised at how much we all enjoyed it - even my teenage son thought it was great! Absolutely a show folks of all ages would love seeing.

I took my five yeard old daughter to see Tangled and we both loved it! As predicted she was a little scared of the 'mother' but otherwise she was good. We both decided that Maximus was our favorite side-kick. We didn't see it in 3D because I didn't think she would keep the glasses on but given the amazing detal and effects I can imagine seeing it in 3D would be amazing! *Spoiler Alert* One thing I was a little surprised about given it's Disney is the stabbing at the end. It was handled with little gore, just surprised me but all in all it made sense to the finale, I suppose.

Taking an old fairy tale and giving it a modern makeover in the mold of "Aladdin" works for this movie. My grandchildren and I all enjoyed it. The songs were fun and the actor who voiced Mother Gothel has a beautiful voice.

I went to this movie thinking it would be another Disney let-down, but I was surprised. It really felt like one of their new classics from the early 90's; I walked out thinking that it was comparable to 'The Lion King', 'The Little Mermaid', and 'Beauty and the Beast'. Amazing voice-acting, good story, great characters. The songs aren't really as memorable as some of the melodies from aforementioned Disney movies, but other than that this flick was unforgettable! It's something everyone could enjoy.

We went to Tangled with the whole family from ages 1.5 to 63 and everyone LOVED the movie. Disney does a great job of keeping kids movies for kids. The dialogue in Tangled is so clever and makes the movie so enjoyable and the music is fantastic!

Tangled is a wonderfully fun, entertaining interlude to the hustle, bustle and stress of the holiday season. An old tale made new, the movie is a delightful retelling of a story full of those lessons we should all learn while growing up. (Indeed, some of we more mature folks can even benefit from relearning a few of them.) The characters are well developed and connect with the audience. The annimation is high quality, enhancing the experience. The story is well paced and very entertaining. My grandchildren were absolutely enthralled when they were not laughing. Go, go, go. My husband and I took our 2.5 year old daughter to see this movie at the Silverado in San Antonio, TX. Tangled far exceeded my expectations and my husband even enjoyed it. Our daughter was mezmorized through out the entire film. Disney's Tangled is now MY favorite princess movie of all time. Great humor, awesome story line, and beautiful picture coupled with assigned seating in the theater made this the best movie experience in a long time.

This movie is great for young to old kids as well as adults. You are drawn in to all aspects of the movie and not bored. By making this a realistic animation, it doesn't just feel like a fairy tale from the olden days of Disney likes. You will be suprised at the various emotions this movie will take you through from beginning to end. This is definitely a see it at the theatres and a buy on DVD/BRay for keeps.

This movie was awesome! It was funny, exciting and the animation was out of this world! The characters were lovable and exciting too! The story made complete sense from start to finish and it was well done; this made the movie not too long and not to short. I must say again that the characters were the cutest especially the character "Flynn"/"Eugene" who played the narrator of the story! This was a fine twist to the original "Rapuzel", making the male hero as one of the main focuses of the story, rather than just Rapuzel herself. Can't wait for the Blu-ray release!

My five year old grandaughter and I both enjoyed this movie 100%. It was child appropriate with a mix of sophisticated humor . Disney animation is top notch, and unlike most non-Pixar films, Tangled is fun and enjoyable (Pixar's Lasseter Exec. Produced which may explain the difference).
The "Sampson" twist on Rapunzel's locks is a neat update and the two animal characters kept my kids (9, 7, 2) in stitches. Rapunzel and Flynn have great (if predictable) rapport, but songs were on the weak side (hence the 4-stars). An exception was the ballad duet (guess who sings it)...

My son and I went to see Tangled and we both felt it was great. I think this is the best one we have seen by Disney in awhile. I would recommend it to everyone. It has adult and kid humor.

It is official!! I now have a favorite Disney movie. I went with my two girls, 19yrs and 6 yrs...We were all very entertained...we laughed...we cried(my 19 year old and I did anyway)...we were surprised at the twists. Well done Disney!
