From beginning to end this movie kept things going. I love how the characters are evolving. The acting was great and the special effects out did themselves again. We will go back and see again for sure.

I love the movie the movie matches the book pretty well, and the art work is amazing the special effects are awesome. I saw the movie at midnight opening 7:00 pm again opening day 7:00 pm Saturday and I'm seeing it again today and I plan on seeing it again many more times in the movie theater!!!

If you are a HP fan and have read all the books at least once (or like me 6 times) than you should be very happy with part 1 of the Deathly Hallows! Of course some things were skimmed over, but all in all the main points of the book were hit on in Part 1. I can't wait for Part 2 next July!!! I'm especially happy with the fact that they brought back Dobby and they did a great job on his death! Of course I cried like I did when reading about Dobby's death in the book. They did Dobby proud!!!

I went with my kids 10 & 12 and the rating is on the mark PG-13. There are scenes with near nudity and intense action. However my kids are Harry Potter fans and I was able to tell my youngest to close her eyes during parts that were too scary. The near nudity scene was a suprise.

I can't believe that I, a big Harry Potter movie fan, am writing this. But I found myself nodding off, getting bored, being impatient with this movie again and again. The script and directing add up to a very weak story that adds up to a limp collection of scenes that fail to build tension or excitement, fail to use the relationships between the characters in a way that helps the story. The CGI is weak and boring. It's a shame that the main actors are stuck with such bad directing and such an unbelievably bad script. I literally attended a high school performance the evening I viewed the movie and was more entertained by that. They're hyping this movie as potentially the best selling move ever. There is not enough hype in the universe to make that happen.

I saw the movie in the IMAX theater. We arrived about 10 mins before the movie started. the place was packed but the only seats left were in the very front. It was so close we had to turn our heads to to see each actor. I had a terrible neck ache at the end of the movie. I could not enjoy the movie at all. I would not recommend seeing it in the Imax theater unless you plan to get there very early. They should not have those seats at front and stop selling tickets before they fill them up. Very dissappointed! I will wait for it to come on neflix and watch it in my own home theater.

I loved every Harry Potter series, and will diffently have Deathly Hollows in my DVD collection BUT there are a couple of comments I want to make about this movie and the series in general. Deathly Hallows was a very long movie and I did feel the time as there were moments that ran slow(a lot of talking and traveling), and when a movie is this long it needs a lot of action, especially being over 21/2 hrs long. Also has anyone noticed that Harry and the rest never win? They are constantly losing at the end? There should have been more balance with that. Also it seemed everyone good would die and no 1 evil? Well those are the only 2 comments, and I am looking forward to Deathly Hallow 2 =)

My family and I saw "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1" yesterday and LOVED it. All in all, it was very true to the book. There were a few minor deviations but they didn't detract from the story at all. The way they portrayed the story of "The Three Brother" was brilliant.

The IMAX format adds an entirely new dimension to the film, and provides a nearly immersive experience. The only way to improve the experience from here would be 3-D or VR glasses.

As Harry would say, "Brilliant!" David Yates captures the emotions of the three heroes in their hide and seek adventure against the Dark Lord and the Death-eaters. Purists can still appreciate the film's minor changes to keep Part 1 under 3 hours. The IMAX version lets you feel your part of action. I did walk away missing Hogwarts. This wonderful "character" of the series will return in Part 2. I can't wait for that!

Great story line. A bit slow at times for me, but well worth it overall. Characters were great! Visual effects great. Definitely, a darker view than previous movies. Wish the ending had a bit more of a hook, just didn't seem to catch it in a point where I am yearning to see the next movie....But, in the end, my overall take is that it was an excellent experience.

This a great movie. My wife went with and isnt a fan. She said it was great anyways. So you dont evan have to know and like Harry Potter to go see this Movie.
