After watching the movie yesterday in Imax, i would say that movie just rocked.I love it in the Imax experience.its like you have everything happening right in front of you.I totally adore this movie and I love Harry Potter and his friends.there were times in the movie which kept me moving.you cannot take your eyes off the movie for a second.your heart beat is going up and down.I am a big Harry Potter fan and i love this movie a lot.I would definitely recommend everyone to watch it.but yah some scenes might be scary for kids so keep that in mind and be careful..!good luck

I have been looking forward to this since the book first came out and I wasn't disappointed. This is a darker movie that those in the past so be warned that there are deaths and scary scenes.
This movie focuses mroe on the relationships between the 3 main characters than just on getting the magic done - we see the 3 struggling with hardships and bad moods and trying to get through as friends. The action was great - the special effects were spectacular! I saw the moveie in IMAX and plan to go back and see it again so I can catch more of the details.
This is the movie to see this Thanksgiving season!

From the perspective of a reader of the Harry Potter series the best part of the movie is when they explain the tale of the three brothers and the deathly hallows. In the book, this forms a somewhat difficult to comprehend yet crucial part of the story. The movie explains this very nicely.
Rupert Grint's acting is as awesome as in the previous movies. Rest of them play their part very well also. If anything could have been better would be the ending. The movie lacks a proper ending.

Loved it. theater could have done a better job, organizing long lines and getting people seated, but the movie itself was great. Its a lot of long building chapters in the first half of the book and they did a good job of condensing and still getting pertinent info across. As always if you read the book, you have a better understanding of what is going on, but even if you didn't you can still get the jist of things. Sad there is only one more movie to go, but can't wait to see it.

Of course they have to cut a lot of what is in the books, but what is the point of adding in things that weren't in the books, like the idiotic dancing scene between Harry and Hermione in the tent? That was a waste of valuable screen time that would have been better expended on something that was actually in the book.

As someone that has read and loved the book series, I was extremely happy with the quote integration into this movie. After the failure of the 3rd-6th (mostly the fifth and sixth ones though) movies, I was really happy with this one. They messed up a few things that kind of set me on edge, but overall, they did a much better job this time. Really, I was only expected two things from this movie going in: for all the right characters to die and for the movie to make me cry at a certain character's death. It did both and so much more. I, for one, cannot wait until July to see the very last movie and see how these actors have completed one of the most beloved series of all time.
It was, in the words of Harry Potter, "Loads better".

The movie is a hit! There are things from the book that I would have liked to have seen in the movie, but overall the movie was really good! Overall a good movie to watch, even though incomplete, it gives you a feel of what Harry is upto and what Voldemort can do.....
Yates did a real good job by bringing in the most thats in the book, and since the script only revolves around the three harry, hermoine and ron, its a slow in the parts... but overall liked it..

Since they split this book into two movies, they were more able to include more details from the book. They didn't have to cut too many things out. This movie was wonderfully directed and totally delivered the expertise that we have come to expect from the cast.

I'm amazed how well they made part 1 of the end. The director and the actor took their time with real special moments, and made the most of the story so far. It was both very moving and quite frightening in parts. Excellent, and I recommend IMAX. Nothing like it!

This was a very good interpretation of the book. The things that were changed or left out were not a big deal. There a lot of people saying the movie was bad but I think this is because they have not read the book. If u are confused after watching the movie and u are a fan of the series please read the book and u will see how close the movie follows the book. "The middle of Deathly Hallows was seriously in-tents."
That's my favorite reference to the Deathly Hallows book. The middle part of the story was filled with nothing but the trio camping and arguing. The movie, on the other hand, filled the audience with knowledge and kept their hearts racing with the fast paced action. Perfect.

This was such a great take on the last book. I watched it twice in 24 hours and wasn't bored at all. I can't wait for the final installment!!

I don't go to the movies. I don't like watching someone's head in front of me and not being able to hear clearly. But for this movie - we drove more than an hour to see Harry Potter in a stadium theater... IMAX. And it was worth every minute on the road and every penny! Huge screen, so clear, and the sound was amazing! This movie was so good - followed the book closely enough... it was incredible. Even my son-in-law who hasn't read the books enjoyed the movie. So wonderful!

Our children enjoyed reading the Harry Potter series and watching the movie versions. This last book is vast and complex. It is interesting to see how well the movie has been made. It has more color than previous ones and is able to convey the essence without sacrificing too much of the detail. Looking forward to Part II
