For those of you who thought the movie was slow moving, you have not read the book. The movie followed the book as well as any movie can. Even though the plot doesn't advance much, all the edge-of-your seat action of the book is there. That was the perfect ending because this is NOT a stand alone movie. I can't wait for the last movie. It will be bitter sweet. I highly recommend this movie and it's best seen in IMAX.

This movie exceeded all my expectations. The action began from the get-go, and I was sitting on the edge of my seat the entire time. Two and a half hour movie? Yeah right! When the ending credits began I was surprised. It felt like an hour. I don't think they could have done a better job, and I can't wait to see the second half. Definitely going to see it again in theaters!!!!

this was a really good movie. even though it wasnt in 3D, being in the imax theater made the movie have more impact. better sound, wider screen, meant you could really get into the movie. this one was much better than the last one. they should have split up the last one and made two movies. splitting it up meant they could keep in so many important details. and certain events were able to have so much more impact. the last one was so rushed, it lost all meaning and importance of the title. but "deathly hallows part one" was back to the important part of the series which was the story of the characters.

Saw it in IMAX was great. A little disappointed that for being in 2 parts, they should have put in a little more of what the book was like. Like when Doby dies, they didn't show that they were at Ron's brothers house. And what really happened to the goblin and olivander. Still can't wait for part two, too bad it has to be 8 months away.

Very Slow movie!! Boring and not a nice ending for a whole movie piece. Only go for the nice FX. But would not recommend to waist your money and time for this one. Harry is getting older and loosing his charm looks. He didn't do a gr8 acting here, only by the end when crying for his Elf friend. Would have preferred to choose another movie instead. Think about this one twice and have good luck!!

This is for the one who read the book. I found the movie fallowed the book very closely. As to any one who has not read the book or has not seen the half blood prince they might consider this one to be the darkest one so far, personally I wish part 2 was all ready out . would I recommand this one to someone well I am not moved to that point but this one is the best I have seen in a long while so I would recommend it, but be warned it is dark.

I enjoyed the movie. We had to sit on the second row though and it was hard to see the whole movie at one time. It had good visuals and good effects, but I thought it got kinda boring and hard to follow at one point. I love harry potter and would still recommend it to a friend. Also in my opinion not as much action as the others and not as good, but my fiance loved it.

Unfortunately, there are aspects of this film that have the 'middle' movie feel, but regardless of that fact it is still a movie worth going to see. Unlike some of the previous films, there is some enhanced features such as some better developed dialoge to explain the Harry Potter world. Visually wonderful as well. Can't wait for the next one to see more action.

This movie really left anyone who has not read the last book in the dust. I have read and reread the last book and I still felt it could have been a bit confusing. They took the time to break the seventh book into two parts yet they didn’t take advantage of the full 3hours they should have used. They wasted time inventing parts that never happened and leaving out parts that are critical to explanation. I was rather disappointed and now i am worried that the next part will not fully cover all that is still left to be covered. I still gave the movie four stars because the actors played their parts wonderfully as always and made it worth my $15...however the wait and anticipation of full comprehension of the potential that this novel holds...was only rewarded with disappointment. I have hope for the second part..::crosses fingers::

This was a great movie! It really developed the characters further. It was exciting to seeing them out in the real world and out of the school setting they have been in so far. I can't wait until summer to see the next one!

A Must See. One of if not the best Harry Potter Movie thus far. Much more gritty and emotional than other HP movies. My only problem with the movie was the use of a hand held camera at times when it added no value to the scene and just made everything just jumpy for no reason. Otherwise absolutely great.

This movie was awesome. I saw it in IMAX and was glad it wasn't IMAX 3D because Nagini was freaky enough with out the 3D element. The ending was very appropriate because it leaves you wanting more. It's too bad that it will be until July before the next one comes out

After being thoroughly disappointed with Half-Blood Prince, Deathly Hallows Part I does not disappoint. It remained true to the book. Daniel, Rupert, and Emma all seemed to have honed their acting skills, and it shows. The depiction of the Tale of the Three Brothers from the Tales of Beedle the Bard is done very well lending to a greater understanding of the hallows. The film surprisingly included humor true to the characters. Hallows I is the best in the series so far.

The movie was awesome! Must see in IMAX.... I would recommend this movie for everyone - anyone that has had an interest in Harry Potter - it is a must see movie - great special effects.
