We absolutely enjoyed this movie. My wife enjoyed it so much it got me out of the dog house.I am recommending it to all my friends.It kept me interested throughout.We were certainly not disappointed.

Jumping the Broom was the best movie I’ve seen in quite some time. First of all , the actors were fantastic and the writing was wonderful. Also, kudos to the casting director…it was great to see so many talented Black actors and actresses in one movie! In a world where movies contain so much violence, nudity, semi-porn, and blacksploitation, it was refreshing to be able to sit back, laugh, cry, and thoroughly enjoy a movie that had no profanity and didn’t perpetuated stereotypes of Black people.

My husband and I nearly cried we were laughing so much. There are so many scenes that are beyond our reality (and to be honest we can't imagine spending the kind of money this movie takes foregranted sometimes) but then Brooklyn mama and her crew brings it back to reality. I love the story and idea that love conquers all, marriage is important, and that family is more important than anything (even money or lack there of.) Don't go into this expecting a unique plot, but if you're looking for a feel good comedy, this was awesome!

Saw this with my wife and really didn't know what to expect but I laughed and cried and was extremely happy with the production of this movie and the entire content.
There were some ladies that were dressed a little more provocatively than I would have expected to see in a movie which has Bishop T. D. Jakes in it, and some scenes that were a little more mature (which I'm sure is where the PG-13 rating comes from) but all in all it was excellent.
It portrays the culture in which we live today and deals with many issues people experience today - and it was good clean humor and entertainment.
I would highly recommend this movie to everyone.

Barring the pseudo religious overtones, this was a fun and refreshing movie. Nice to see more movies of American Blacks wherein all levels of socioeconomic classes are represented.

THE MOVIE WAS GOOD. IT DIDN'T BLOW ME AWAY. I WOULD HAVE LOVED TO HAVE SEEN MORE DRAMA, LIKE IN THE KITCHEN SCENE WHEN THINGS WERE BEING REVEALED AND PUT OUT IN THE OPEN, BUT IT BUILT UP TO A CERTAIN POINT AND THEN DEFLATED. BUT OVERALL, BISHOP JAKES DID HIS THING AND I LOVED THE MOVIE. IT DEFINITELY GIVES YOU SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT BEFORE YOU THINK ABOUT "JUMPING THE BROOM"
