I took my mom to see this on Mother's day, and it's actually pretty funny. Paula Patton was a little annoying, but it was not a bomb like that of "Kingdom Come". Mike Epps makes it funny. Like my title says, is a ladies night out movie.

This could have been a good movie. Heavy handed, filled with preachy religious references and a truly annoying turn by Paula Patton make parts of the film unwatchable. The film is disjointed and meanders all over the place with not discernible direction and Loretta Devine, looking sweating and disheveled shrieks and yells her way through every scene. I know a lot of African Americans will support this film because they are sick of Tyler Perry and the other cross-dressing disasters out there. But this movie is not good just because Perry is worse.

I truly enjoyed this movie. I could see owning it. It was funny. It had a few nice little "predictable" twist but it was still a wonderful movie. Great cast and wonderful acting. Although the cast is primarily African-american, its not just a movie for black folks. It's a good date (romantic comedy) movie. Two thumbs up!

Even though we had really close seats.. got there late. I enjoyed the movie from beginning to end. It never felt long or overly predictable and Mike Epps had great timing even at serious places. I had my doubts about this movie but left feeling that it was very thoughtful. There are twists in the movie that you do not see coming that add to the climax. Angela Bassett is one of the most beautiful woman in film and she comes through strong in her role within this movie. I would definitely recommend it.

This movie didn't bring anything new to the table. The acting was solid. The humor was spotty in places. I thought there were too many side stories, and not enough focus on the bride and groom. But the overall message of faith and and family was refreshing. The soundtrack was incredible! I would recommend this movie to family and friends.
