For a stay inside cause it's winter film, it was ok. The fight scenes were impressive, likely a result of the star's skills. And there were some flinch-worthy injuries. On the whole, this movie was nothing new in terms of storyline or surprises. Not an award-material film (sorry, Mr. Soderbergh) but not a bad way to spend a winter afternoon.

Great cast, not enough dialog or depp enough involvement for the stars McGregor, Douglas, Fassbender, Banderas, but it kept a steady pace with great action sequences. Not a lot new here, but I enjoyed this Soderbergh venture into a hand to hand action flick.

I was very surprised Steven Soderbergh will chose Gina Carano as a start of his film, then I saw the movie and understood, if there is a woman who can kick my A@# is her. Gina did not had a oscar performance (give her a break is her first film) but she can fight and that's what I want in an action movie. I will pay again to see her in a sequel or any other action movie.

"Haywire" features an action heroine who is actually capable of action. Gina Carrano is believable as a woman who can outfight a man. Contrary to what other reviewers have said, it's not difficult to follow. We enjoyed it and look forward to a sequel.
"Haywire" is much better paced and much less boring than "Contraband" where I looked at my watch every two minutes for the first 45 minutes. The only reason I didn't leave "Contraband" is that I needed a ride home. Of the two, we recommend "Haywire".

In spite of the star power in the cast this may have been one of the worst movies I've ever seen. From the opening notes of the cheesy action-thriller score to the final moments when I said, "thank goodness. I was afraid there was more coming," this was dreadful. And I'm pretty forgiving about flawed movies. Just nothing redeeming in this one.

I saw Haywire last night and I still have mixed feelings for the movie. I enjoyed watching it, but I was hoping for more action. The one thing I loved about the movie was Channing Tatum!

A day later, and I'm still not sure what I think. The film was oddly edited, barely scored, and the dialogue needed some touch-ups. But the actors were good, the action (that there was) was intense, the characters were mostly fleshed out. There was one scene in this movie that sold it for me- Gina is walking down a street, and at once we spot a tail. But the shot continues for several minutes, and every now and then a new red herring pops up- a commercial van, a mysterious black Audi pulls out right behind her, etc. And it ratchets up the tension perfectly. All told, this is not a perfect film, but it was good.
