I thought it was a good movie. I've read the books and have been looking forward to this movie a long time. I was a little disappointed at the end because it didn't go along with the book. I also think Kristen was a little flat and emotionless in her scenes. The imprinting scene was pretty cheesy.

I was never really into the whole Twilight chaos. However this year a friend of mine asked me to join her in watching Breaking Dawn. I like to know everything so things make sense, so I began with reading the books, followed by the corresponding movie. I was hooked from the beginning. I cannot believe what I had been missing out on. The movies as well as the books make you a part of the story, which has not happened to me since I was a child.

I enjoyed the movie, but not as much as I had hoped. I found Kristen Stewart's performance to be flat and cold. All emotions from happiness, sadness, and fear all looked the same. Taylor Lautner was the savior of this movie. Every scene he was in was powerful and riveting. The wolves carried this movie. The series centered around Bella and Edward and fans looked forward to the wedding and honeymoon, but I have to say the scenes were Ok, not great. Edward's speech at the wedding was emotional. Breaking Dawn Part 2 should be interesting. I've read all the books, and seen the movies, so although I wasnt thrilled with Part 1, I wont miss Part 2.

Great movie. I seen it twice. I'm not one to go to movie theater and watch a movie 2 times but it was so worth it to see it again. I was just as taken by it the second time as if I had never seen it. I love the whole series...just can't stand to wait until Part II comes out....my only complaint....Please don't make us wait a year for Part II!!

I wish Bill Condon had directed the previous movies in the series. The love story was more believable and the look of the film was better.
I think it is a bit too much for younger viewers. The PG-13 rating is appropriate.

There were many things to like about this movie and only one thing I did not like so it gets 4 stars. The overall look of the film was very beautiful and made the film worth watching. I thought the point in the wedding where Bella is paniced while walking down the aisle until the moment she sees Edward was her best performance in the series to date. My only complaint is I thought many things, including the wedding, were drawn out making the pace slow. I think some things could have been trimmed and then just had a single "Breaking Dawn". I understand how making 2 films might be good financial / business sense. Overall It was a very good effort and I would recommend it to anyone who has seen the earlier films.

I just feel like these books should have never been made into movies. Took the essence out of them. People who didn't read the book wondered why there were so many awkward silenced looks between the characters. Those are the moments when (in the book) the person could read about Bella's actual thoughts. Therefore, making the movie boring and feel as if we were all being dragged along for a lame ride.

The screenwriters did a good job of keeping the integrity of the story. The addition of the scene of the fight at the Cullen residence between the wolves and the vampires was good addition and added some excitment to an otherwise slow moving story. Because this particular part of the book was quite involved in story line and not in action, this addition added something so that the movie did not turn too lack-luster at the end. It was approaching documentary at this point and needed a kick. Many of the Cullen and Tribe characters have more interesting characters and it is a shame that time constraints do not allow dwelving greater into those characters. While Bella is the heroine of the story, her character does not deviate from middle-of-the-road. This could have been a great movie if allowed to expand into the more interesting characters. I am not sure if Kristen is a one-dimensional actor or if it is just the nature of the Bella character. All in all, a good rendition of this part of the book. I have hopes that part 2 adds much need action to the overall movie.

I am a huge Twilight fan and was disappointed by the first three movies but this one was good! I felt like you could see Bella's excitement and that was not shown in any of the other movies. I was worried about Rob being too cool for this movie (wedding, honeymoon, baby) but he did a lot better than before. I love that it's two parts and can't wait to see part two!

Not that is saying much. With the money these movies bring in, and being on the last book, you would think they could throw a little more money into production quality, sets, etc.
The movie was by far better than the others, although the acting is still lacking, but that doesn't matter to a bunch of drooling 15 year old girls. I am happy they broke up the story into two movies, as the others were lacking, um a lot of the story the books told. But all in all it was my favorite movie so far.

Awesome job on the director. I think it was very close to how I would have imagined the book would be and of course the book is way better I still think Bill Condon showed us a great view of the book especially for those who didnt read the book.

This movie was wonderful. I actually havn't read the book yet but I think that was better so i am not seeing what was left out. My son thinks I should wait until after the Part 2 to read the book so I won't know what happens, not sure I can wait that long though. The suspence is killing me. Can't wait for part 2.

This was the best movie of the series and the best movie this year. I was awestuck with how beautifully the story was told. There was some things from the book I wish was in the movie but it is impossible to include everything from the book. A couple of blond jokes would have been nice or Edward asking Jacob's permission to break the treaty. I left the theater thinking it is going to be a long year but now I can't wait till the DVD comes out.

Breaking Dawn is an exciting start to the conclusion of the Twilight series. Although starting with a slower pace focusing on the romantic, the movie picks up pace and ultimately achieves a good balance of suspense, action, and the sentimental, with a touch of humor thrown in for good measure. Well worth the trip to the cinema.

This was by far the best Twilight movie yet. It followed the book EXACTLY and there was an excellent balence between funny and serious. I had missed seeing Edward and Bella act as a normal couple, so the first hour of the movie was incredible. Also, Kristen Stewart's performance was the best I have ever seen before. Bill Condon needs to win every major award possible for this film, as well as the rest of the cast. Can't wait for Part 2!!

Yes, it follows the book for the most part, like the previous movies of this saga. However, even knowing the ending, it was intense and moved at a good pace. Kristen Stewart and Rob Pattinson continued to develop their characters and did a great job of conveying the wide range of emotions that they experience with their wedding through the birth of their vampire-human hybrid child. My best friend and I have followed this series from the beginning and we left the theater with big grins and no regrets on spending the money for these tickets. If you love the books, you will love this movie. Well-done!

I did very much enjoy the movie. I felt the fear for both Bella's surviving as well as the intense circumstances. I think Kristen Stewart was amazing in her performance and her look was extremely convincing on her health.

I did like the movie. It of course didn't match the book as well as I would have liked, but was about as close as you can get. I was very disappointed in the honeymoon. There was way too much skin shown! Do not bring your young teens!
