After seeing the other 3 movies in the theatre, I decided to continue the tradition with Breaking Dawn Part 1. I wish I had waited until Part 2 was released and flown through part 1 on DVD at home. This was worse than a middle movie as it seemed like they tried to stretch out every scene and show way more than what was necessary to make a attention grabbing film. I'm sure it sets up Part 2 nicely, but don't wast $10 on it to be the first to see almost nothing that can't wait until Part 2.

This film is about 100 minutes too long. It is merely a set up for the next film and all the action should have been condensed into 20 minutes or so. It's incredibly boring. This review is coming from someone who watches almost every vampire film. The only reason to watch this is curiosity.

I really enjoyed "Breaking Dawn." Loved the fact that they played "Bella's Lullaby" as background music during some of the scenes. I also enjoyed "Flightless Bird" that was played during their wedding kiss (this song was from Twilight when they were dancing at the prom.) Just thought it was neat how they incorporated some of the songs from other movies into the new movie. I also thought that they did a great job with Bella's look as she progressed through her pregnancy. She truly looked as though the baby was sucking all the life out of her and she was nothing but skin and bones. All in all, great movie!

Like other reviewers, I found the movie slow moving at times. In all fairness, I accompanied an avid Twilight fan and have not read any of the books myself, which is probably needed to fill in missing pieces and better enjoy the movie. It did pick up at the end and left me wanting to see Part 2.

Despite the negative reviews I really enjoyed this movie, and have already seen it twice (and no I'm not a "Twihard"), and I think it was even better the second time. For those of you that wanted more action I think a lot of it is coming in Part 2. I was not disappointed by this first installment which I thought was a good start to the end.
P. S. Stay after the credits for an extra scene!

I really loved the twilight breaking dawn movie. i had watched some of the fan-made trailers, which contained bits and pieces of the past twilight movies, (also some that were actually in this movie, which makes me question how fans can get ahold of these new scenes?) plus other movies and actors who had nothing to do with this movie, and I feel like they should not be allowed to post these. I wanted the Breaking Dawn movie to continue, since I have read all the books already. I can't wait to see the next and last one!! i was hoping to see the scene when bella tells her father, Charlie, she is engaged! Also wish there were more scenes dedicated to when the wolves were planning to attack the Cullen and bella in order to kill "the monster" growing rapidly inside Bella.

This movie is probably most meaningful to those of us who have been following the Twilight Saga all along. Yes, I was a bit disappointed in the additional scenes that were not in the book, but I understand the need in a visual medium to create a visual peak and a fight between the wolf pack and the Cullen family was probably too juicy to resist. I also wanted Bella's wedding dress to be a bit more old fashioned, but whatever. I didn't like hearing Charlie knock Renee during the pre-wedding scene (referring to her as the "something old") felt jarring and out of character for him. The wolf pack voices were wierd and anyone who was not up on what was happening between the Alpha and the other members of the pack probably felt confused or just thought it was a bad choice for special effects. Also I felt Jacob's imprinting lacked the emotional punch I would have expected, but that may be more a comment on Taylor Lautner's acting ability than on the direction. All that being said, I still enjoyed it tremendously, will see it again and can't wait for Part 2. Hurry August 2012!

I enjoyed the wedding, although I was hoping for the vision that probably most had of being a gown in Edwards era and her walking down stairs..yes those are minor but it gave the book that extra kick, especially since Bella wasn't someone who usually walked in hills. :) I am looking forward to see the 2nd part.

Lots of fun for Twihards. We finally get to see at least a little more of the lovemaking scene than was in the book (hopefully more on the DVD extras!). Some of the stuff with the wolfs was a bit cheesy, but all in all, a treat for lovers of the series. Can't wait for part 2!

I thought that the storyline was very captivating, even for those who were not "readers". The love scenes were pretty good, even for PG-13. I enjoyed the comedy, too. Overall, I thought this was the best of the series.
