This movie was an extremely well-done adaptation of the book. If you are a Twilight fan then you will love it. The only thing that I did not care for was the scene of the wolves talking to each other--it seemed a little cheesy. Otherwise, well-done. I will be seeing it again.

Took my fiancee to see it last night. She was all kinds of excited. It was actually pretty good. I've read the books and am happy this one stuck pretty close, but was better written and had a lot of very funny moments. Yeah, I'm a guy by the way. It was good. Watch it before you judge it. Just ignore the fact it's Twilight and you'll be fine..

I have read every book, cover to cover and this movie was the least disappointing. I enjoy these movies, but I think they should have separated the movies from the book. Instead of saying, "Based on the novel, Breaking Dawn", they should say "loosely based on the novel". They left out many parts of the book and the computer animated baby was the worst part of the movie. All I kept thinking at the end was, "that's not what happened in the book." I understand the birth part couldn't be that graphic because of the rating it needed, so it was ok for the limitations they had. Don't get me wrong, I thought the movie was great. But if I had to give it a rating for relating to the book, I'd give it an ok at the most.

Best Twilight Movie yet. Cant wait for Part 2!! Every character stuck true to the book, the wedding was beautiful, the sex scene wasn't overkill like most movies, and the ending made you want to see the next one right away!!

I really enjoyed the movie...laughed and cried in parts. There were a couple of corny parts (weird wolf pack scene). Overall this is the best twilight movie, though. The acting is better as is the direction!

I loved every minute of this movie. I didn't mind the wolf pack scene at all, I know a lot of people thoug it was cheesy but I thought it was true to the book. Overall it did the book justice…even though the fight scene was not in the book, but I guess it could've been. It ended exactly like I thought it was going to…loved it! Can't wait for part 2!!

Visually stunning scenery and very true to my idea of how the first half of the book should have been brought to the big screen. With the advantage of having read the book though, the viewer sees, feels, and understands much much more than what the movie is able to give. The actors appeared much more comfortable in their roles and very believably portrayed their characters. Ready for Part 2, but not ready to see this franchise end.

The movie wasn't horrible... Look Twilight fans will love it. There were some really cheesy parts to this movie - hello the wolf pack scene, but overall it was ok. I thought the "dream" wedding scene was completely unexpected but broke too far from the vibe of the rest of the movie. The wedding speeches were funny. The acting seemed a little better from the main characters but this is in NO WAY great acting! But I went into it with low expectations. It'll make a TON of money but I still think it was only OK. I do believe the studio is stretching this franchise to the breaking point by not releasing Part 2 for another year though. Anyways, those who love the story will see it...

It was really good. I think it really did a good job of sticking to the book. And all of the parts that were added, that weren't in the book fit really well. Can't wait for Part 2!

The Movie did go by the book, but i think the acting could have been a little more exciting. The screening was not interesting at all, it was pretty much a lot of dialogue.
The wedding did not keep my eyes on the screen. There could have been more glam and happiness about it.
The Honeymoon was not mesmerizing and romantic as I though it should have been.
The whole pregnancy part did go along with the story line but again... No excitement whatsoever. Im a big Fan but this movie was just dragged all along.

I know these books/movies are not aimed at 13 and under, but they are one of the few movies that hit ages from all groups. Young and old. Not often does this happen. I have read the books, seen the first three movies. I have children from 8-21. This movie worried me because I knew I would have to see it before my younger girls.
I am so glad I did. I can not believe this has a PG13 rating! I saw parents in the theater with young kids, and knew it that was a bad idea! The honeymoon scenes were way to revealing!! There was NO need for it! They could've had the same affect on the story without all the "nudity"! I am just disappointed that they felt the need to go that far. And shocked that a PG13 rating was given. My younger girls will just have to wait a while to see it.

In all sagas, there is an interlude when the action pauses and the characters come forward to deepen our involvement in their story. So it is with Breaking Dawn, Part 1. The movie is slower paced, more character-driven, and self-referentially humorous.
Being a big fan of the books, I know the story and so was more alert to how Bill Condon visualized the story and created tension for both those in the know and those who only know the movies. I found that he created real suspense and tension. And, a great surprise ending.
Meanwhile, the characters have deepened, as have the actors' performances. In the Twilight saga, I think Eclipse will be the best movie, but in the story arc, Breaking Dawn Part 1 is a worthy addition to the franchise.

I don't see how only 5% (or less) of the population hated this movie. I guess the others are little teenagers or adults pretending to be teenagers again that are memorized by the actors good looks and ripping muscles. This movie out of all of them absolutely sucked. Can't say that I've read all the books and made Twlight the entire reason of my existence, but I know good movies and this by far was the crapiest movie I have ever seen. Save your money, and wait to rent it if you really can't help yourself.

I have read all of the books about 3-4 times each. My expectations for the first installment of the series were not met on the big screen, though I have gone to the midnight showings of the second, third. I found the second to be a 4/5 and Eclipse I did not like in the slightest. However, I attended the midnight showing of Breaking Dawn Part 1 in high hopes once again and was not disappointed. Every expectation was met and Kristen Stewart finally showed some emotion. There was an additional action added, but it fit nicely. Overall, Breaking Dawn Part 1 was the best film out of the series, hands down.

I loved the book and I loved the movie! I thought it was awesome and the best movie of all the Twilight movies yet! One part in the movie I thought was kind of corny though was when the wolves were fighting amongst eachother and they were yelling at eachother as they were wolves and it reminded me of a cartoon but other than that it was great and I can't wait to see part 2!

The movie was very well produced to go along with the book series. Of course the movie would have been days long to have every detail that the book provided but the main points were in the movie and left me wanting more. I can not wait until the 2nd part comes out. The wedding was so romantic and to see two people in love so much made me realize that love is real and not just a fictionional character. The ending at first pissed me off because I didnt want the movie to end. But knowing the outcome because I read the book is really exciting and I can not wait to see how the producers portray the rest of the storyline. I loved the books and this movie was the best of all the movies put together.
