I have read the books and watched the first 3 movies of this series several times each and have loved both. I was a little disappointed with this movie. It did follow the book and the wedding was beautiful but a little slow moving as was most of the movie. I know some of the scenes had to be "tamed" for the PG-13 rating, which might have been better as an R rating, but understand why this was done. I really believe it would have been better if just one movie was made of the last book instead of making two movies. It worked for Harry Potter but not here. I still love the story!!

Love love loved the movie!!! There were a lot of parts and quotes in the movie that were from the book. I loved how they followed it as closely as possible. The pregnancy/birth scenes were done very well. Can't wait till the next one!! Why does it have to be next year....

Pattinson and Stewart did a much better job acting this time loved it was wonderful and I loved the fact that they were able to fit a lot in since they split the movie in half

As a diehard-twihard I was very happy with BD part 1. The movie definitely keeps the book very close but added some action with the Cullens and Wolves which enhanced the movie. Can't wait to see it again and will have much difficulty waiting for BD part 2!

The movie was good, but I was a little disappointed with some of the cheesiness that was added. With having read the books I do understand that there is so much detail that can't translate to the movie, but there were key points I would have liked to see in the movie.
Overall it was good, but I'm holding for part II to finish the story better.
And I TRULY wish the producers would stop changing the way the characters look. Let's pick a style and let them own it for the last movie. People don't change their looks THAT much every that often.

The movie was definitely slow with not as much action as the trailer suggests. But I still loved watching every minute of it! I loved the very last shot, which really got me excited for the next one. Also stay after it ends because a few minutes into the credits they show an extra sceen. A lot of people ran out and missed it.

I, like most of you, could hardly breath waiting for this movie to come out. I've read every book cover to cover and I've watched the first 3 movies like a TV series every time they showed it on cable, Showtime, HBO or TMC. Going into Breaking Dawn, I knew what the movie was about since I did read the last installment. But I felt something was missing in this movie. The scenery was gorgeous, the wedding scene was a tear jerker. But I think, if I were just a regular person who was seeing the movie for the first time, and haven't read the book, I would be totally lost. I've decided I will need to see this movie a few more times, since, as with all the other movies I've watched over and over, it tends to get better and better each time I see it. Fans will still love the movie just to see the cast and Bella, Edward and Jake. I always enjoy watching them all. They have become a big part of my life, like good friends, since I've watched each movie so many times. Just a note, the music in the beginning sounded like the reel was warped. I'm not sure if this was used as an affect, or it was just the movie theatre I was watching it in that had sound problems. I'll be back with an updated critique, once I've seen it again.

I usually hate each Twilight movie the first time I watch them, then after watching them several times, I end up liking them for their own merits. Hard to not compare to the books - the books always win. However, LOVED Breaking Dawn I ... the flashbacks, the music from other movies ... wow. Of course, there are some lines in the book I wish would have made it in, but we also got some great stuff the books left to our imagination.

Loved the movie! It seemed a bit choppy--trying to fit everything in. And I do think it would be hard to follow the story if you haven't read the books..But it was worth seeing if you love these books and movies...I was so bummed when it ended! Can't wait for the next one!

This movie is more of your classic "chick-flick" Big dramatic flourishes of music to arrive at stand-off after stand-off. Very little real action and lots and lots of melancholy whining. Looking forward to next movie. Have seen every opening with my daughter and will see next. Overall this is the least entertaining of all the movies.

I am a single mother of 3 kids, each one with very different likes and dislikes. I have 2 boys (13 & 15) and an 11yr old daughter. I often take them to the movies to have some "family time." I can't believe it but this is the VERY FIRST movie that ALL 3 KIDS LOVED!!!!! We all have seen every movie in the saga, with only my daughter and myself loving each one. After seeing this one my boys were so psych'd up they want to read the book because they can't wait for Part 2 to come out!!!! My daughter was so thrilled she couldn't wait to call all of her friends and tell them how awesome the movie was. I'm in shock that all 4 of us absolutely love the same movie! To parents that may be concerned about any blood, violence, etc. this movie may have; It is (in my opinion) the LEAST violent of the whole saga. This movie really focuses on the whole cast of character's deep feelings for each other (love, respect, sense of family, etc...) I will recommend this movie over and over again. I will probably even take the kids to see it again, that is just how much we loved Breaking Dawn. This movie is Absolutely Awesome!!!

I personally couldn't read through the books. I got halfway through twighlight and gave up so when I take my fiancé to see the movies I don't really know what to expect. The movie was okay for a love story but weird with the love triangle. As for a vampire movie I wouldn't really rate it a top notch vampire movie and by the reactions to Bella drinking blood by a decent percentage of the audience, I really don't think most of the crowd is really going for a vampire movie. Overall the movie wasn't horribly bad. It had some great aspects to it. The love scene was done well. The sickness from the baby was done well. Seemed as if they put some effort into bringing this movie to life.

Well Done! Just the right amount of lovemaking. The last part of the movie kept me on the edge of my seat. Great CG effects. Her eyes opening at the end was the perfect shocking ending. Can't wait to see the sequel. Shame on those who left the theater before the credits were over. That was one of the best parts with the volturri.

My expectations were very low for the newest addition to the Twilight Saga but I was pleasantly suprised. Stewart stayed away from her usual, annoying ticks in her performance. I was a little worried about how the 'imprinting' would play out, but in the end, there was none of the [feared] awkwardness of this situation. Besides a few moments of predictable cheesiness, I loved it! Can't wait to see Bella in Part II...

In this second-to-last Twilight movie, you get to see how things are going to end up. Bella and Edward get married in one of the most touching ceremonies in cinematic history. Jacob makes an appearance, but he can't handle his emotions. Bella and Edward head off on their honeymoon, and the impossible happens - Bella gets pregnant. They rush home, and although Edward wants Bella to terminate it, she is adamant about having his child. The birth is difficult, to say the least, and the werewolves are worried that the child will be a threat. The tension in the Cullen house and with the werewolves is palpable, and this movie ends in the perfect way. All the questions that were being posed in the earlier movies are being answered now, and it's fantastic!
I highly recommend this movie, and I think you'll love it whether you've read the books or not. And just a hint... stay through the credits, or you'll miss something interesting!
