I loved this movie and was so happy that the movie did not leave off with us wondering about the birth, but it still did a good job leaving expectation for the next film.loved the love scenes between Bella and Edward and can't wait to get on DVD.

This movie is the best so far, apart from the first one!! A must see. I need to buy the book! I was at the edge of my seat and some parts left me with my jaw dropped! Loved it. And I like how they are getting more and more creative with these movies.

It was a good movie. Unlike the previous movies, the actors were more comfortable in their roles and easier to watch. It definitely helps to have read the books. Kristin Stewart wasn't annoying in this movie. My kids liked it so much they want to see it again. I'm even willing to take them. :)

I am a true Twi-hard. My only issues with the movie is the lack of emotion it evoked. I love The Twilight Saga but the movies after Twilight haven't touched me like Twilight did. I think this may be in part due to male directors. If they were trying to make the movie appeal to males, they removed the sappy emotional aspects that made us fall in love with Twilight in the first place. All in all I liked it but I still felt some parts were incomplete after watching the movie. I didn't have an emotional connection like I usually do.

Stayed with the book to a T. Was suprised that they actually showed as much detail as they did, but for sure a good move on their part. It amazes me how much better the actors and actresses have gotten from the time the first movie came out to today.

Amazing movie! I loved everything about the actual movie. Now looking at the movie compared to the book not as in love. The book as usual was 10 times better, more in depth relationships. I wish the showed more of the pregnancy and how the family including Jacob dealed with it. One very funny part in the book is the relationship between Rosalie and Jacob, I wish they included parts of that in the movie. Also the strain that is put on Alice in the book is a great build up for the second movie, so i wish that was included more. So if you have not read the books and are simply a movie fan you will love this movie, probally think of it was the best one yet. If your a true book fan, you will be a little disapointed but still have great love for the movie.

I liked how the honeymoon scenes were done. It still captured the humanness, awkwardness and longing that two newlyweds have on their wedding night. There was just enough without over doing the sex scenes. This followed the book very well and captured the darkness and the ending of Bella's adolescence. Laughed, cried and can not wait until Breaking Dawn, Part 2!

Very well made movie. Most scenes were similar to what I imagined from the book. You could REALLY see the looks of anguish on Edward's face as Bella grew more ill with the baby. Loved it!!!

The well anticipated fourth book turned movie, Breaking Dawn part 1, finally hit movie theatre's almost 17 months after Eclipse premiered! It was heartwarming, romantic, sensual, funny, cheesy and in some parts downright disgusting. It started off with Jacob getting mad after seeing Bella and Edwards' wedding invitation. He runs out of his house, rips off his shirt and phases. So in the first 5 minutes Bill Condon managed to deshirt the hunky star Taylor Lautner, and fill the theatre with oooh's and aww's.
I was amazed that the characters seemed less shaky and extremely approachable than in the other movies. Bella's character seemed to have grown ages since Eclipse. She was not her usual shy self, still a little klutzy though. Unlike the other movies, the Cullen family also seemed like they were at total ease around so many humans.
Renee might have been a little tipsy at for the wedding/reception?? I don't know for sure, and they didn't show her drinking, but she sure was giddy. We hadn't seen her character in this light before. Charlie was his normal witty, don't need to know self. He had some great lines at the reception during the toast's. Which, by the way, was not in the book, but I really enjoyed this add-in. I was disappointed that there wasn't more dancing. These vampires have been around for 100+ years and have been through many era's of music and dancing styles. I expected to see some showing off by Emmet and Rosalie, Alice and Jasper, and Carlsile and Esme. We had a glimpse of Alice and Jasper doing a sort of "Dancing with the Stars" spin move though. The scene of Bella and Jacob dancing and saying goodbye was flawless!
The honeymoon setting was perfect as well. It was well depicted from the book. There was a bit more skin shown than I expected. I took my almost 13 year old with me and had explained what would be going on during the honeymoon, so I felt good about it. (I am a mom who has spoken to my daughter about sex and what it means. And actually, The twilight series has really held up to the moral standards that I would like all movies to depict.)
I liked that the maid, Kaure, was included in the movie. For the people just watching the movies, they might have been wondering what this was needed for, but those book readers knew what her role was and how important it was.
The biggest worry I had after reading the book was how Mr. Condon was going to depict the wolves speaking to each other when Sam and Jacob fought and Jacob becomes his own Alpha. It was probably done the best it could have been done, but it was super cheesy. The entire theatre laughed hilariously through the wolf chatter.
I was slightly disappointed when I discovered the part of the book where Edward asks Jacob to talk Bella into terminating the fetus and shacking up with him so she could have the baby she wants so badly, was left out of the movie. But I got over it quickly.
The birth and changing into a vampire scene was as graphic as I expected. I actually thoroughly enjoyed it. Everything went in sequence with the book, which pleased me very much! The CSI-like visual during her transformation was great too. At first the audience burst into laughter, but after a few different views of the blood rushing through her body and bones repairing themselves, it was pretty cool to watch. Also, watching her frail body come back "to life" so to say, was unique and interesting. All in all, I was extremely pleased with the "changing" scene.
From the previews I was not excited about watching the added scene of the wolves fighting the Cullens. But when it came time in the movie for it to happen, I was excited to see the outcome. I'm glad it was added and even wish maybe there would have been more to it.
If you didn't stick around for the extra scene that played after the credits, you didn't miss much. We have already seen most of it from the trailer, but there were some added words. Caius basically tells the volturi that now he wants Bella. Big deal. We already knew that from watching New Moon.
For the conclusion I will just say, I thoroughly enjoyed the movie, would watch it again today if I was able to and I will own it on dvd when it is released!
Only 358 days til Breaking Dawn part 2!!!!

I read the book right before the Midnight premire. The movie was really good, but I wasnt completely satisfied. I just hate how much was taken out and even changed. The whole wolves fighting the Cullens didnt happen in the book, so was confused why they added a part that never happened, but took things out that actually happened. They should have made a rated R version, bc I wanted more! But with the twilight movies, I'll never be satisfied. Not until they are like 6 hrs long ha. But overall I still loved it and are seeing it tonight for the 3rd night in a row!

was pleasantly surprised to see that Kristen did not show as many of the annoying ticks she does in every performance in every movies she has ever been in.....the movie played out well even though they did leave out parts that should of been in there, if you read the books you know what I'm talking about. The imprinting scene was perfect no creepiness which i know some were worried about and the CG of her illness with the pregnancy and the birthing scene was great and well done the ending was perfect too. Can't wait for Part II.....Make sure if you haven't seen it yet stay after the credits for the scene with the volturi. As an adult I just hope they offer uncut R rated version on DVD

I hate the anticipation of waiting, but it was well worth the wait. I like to see if the movie is true to the book, and they actually included a lot into the movie. I think they spent slightly more time on the honeymoon than necessary. If they would have shortnened a few things, maybe they would have fit more in later on. I also feel like they skipped over Bella's "burning torture" (during the transformation) just a little.
Ultimately it was great. I loved it! I have always liked the books more than the movies, but this was fantastic.

I went into this movie with low expectations because I was disappointed with the other movies. However, THIS movie was awesome. I tell everyone that it surpassed the book (which I have read more times than I can remember). The producing of this movie was more thought out. Loved every minute of it from its funnyness, to its romance, to its suspense and gore. Great MUST SEE movie!
