I had a lot of misgivings going into this movie. As a fan of the books, I was really worried about how they would handle the over-sweeping themes and nuanced character changes/growth through the last book. I was really pleasantly surprised to see Kristen Stewart really can act (a little) and there is real chemistry between Edward and Bella now. ;) Perhaps spurred on by their real life romance, who knows.
Anyway, I was pleased with how they handled the transition from book to movie - they left a lot of things out and made some unnecessary additions, but over all, a good adaptation. I can't wait for the second installment!

This is the best movie in the Twilight series. The subject matter is too much for "Tweens". The script did stay pretty close to the book, but unless you read the book, the "feathers" scene is not explained, nor is the second headboard mentioned.

As a great fan of the series, and specially the last book, I enjoy seeing the story brought to life. Although the book doesn't have the wolves and the Cullens actually fighting, it doesn't depart from the spirit of the story. I suspect if you hadn't read the book, there are times when the viewer would not know what was happening....the transformation into vampire, and the imprinting.
For me it was a satisfying movie. I will see it a second time after a few weeks.

I took three of my girlfriends out to see this movie. We've all read the books, so we were definitely prepared. The movie was a little cheesy, but for those interested in the books, it was great fun to watch. I reccomend it to the true fans.

The effects and the way they stayed truth to the book, impacted me in a possitive way. I was crying and on the edge of my seat throughout the entire movie. Planning on seeing it again and I never see movies twice.

If you're a Twilight fan, this movie is sure to knock your socks off! It's faithful to the book - full of romance, action, and suspense. Just a word of caution to those who don't handle the sight of blood very well - the birth scene is pretty graphic. I had to close my eyes, but I also had a hard time reading that part of the book. LOVED the way Part One ended! Be sure to stay through the credits so you don't miss the final scene that sets the stage for Part Two!

This movie was so much fun! I saw it twice in one day so could catch things I missed. If you have cine capri in your area it is a must to see breaking dawn. The screen is huge. I loved the movie from start to finish, but my favorite part was the birth and Bella's transformation. When the venom was pulsing through her veins and you got to see her coming back to life even more beautiful was so amazing. Will be seeing this movie many times. Can't wait to own Breaking Dawn Part 1 and to see Breaking Dawn Part 2!!!!

Thought this was one of the better movies in the series. Followed the book pretty well and loved how they made Bella look like she was really dying. Only corny part was the wolves "thinking" their arguement out. Liked the humor they added to it.

I was worried that it wouldn't do the book justice, but I feel that the movie portrayed what happened in the book beautifully. Some scenes literally took my breath away.
If you are a Twilight fan (regardless if "team Edward", "team Jacob", or just infatuated with Jasper..LOL ), this movie is a must see. Definitely a good start to the end of the phenomenal series .

I love this series or I probably wouldn't recommend this movie. There were too many things cut out and it was still made into 2 parts. I don't understand why (other than the profit factor). Taylor Lautner made his character the most excitng part of the movie.

We enjoyed this movie a lot. It followed the book and did very good job of it. I was hoping they start with the before car, but it was fine where it started. Hope everyone is staying to see the part after the credits start. The lights didn't come up in our theatre until after that part, but some had got up not sure if they had left the auditorium.

If you love to hate everything Twilight, you'll probably hate this, too. But if you're a fan of the books or the movies, you'll be thrilled with this return to Forks and the Cullen Clan. This adaptation is pretty faithful to the book and will leave you waiting impatiently for the last movie in the series.

I went and saw Breaking Dawn: Part 1 on Sunday. Not only do I feel it was the BEST of the series to date, but it was also my sister in law's intro into the Twlight series and she LOVED it!
We were laughing, and awwwing over the sweet moments. Robert and Kristen couldn't have done a better job. I LOVED the honeymoon scenes of her in the lingerie trying to entice him. It was nice to see that human interaction between the two of them.

I did not read the books and so I watched it solely for the entertainment value. I must say I really enjoyed watching the movie. They showed a poignant love triangle between Edward, Bella, and Jacob and I was drawn to it.
Except for the screaming teenagers and the long lines, I would definitely recommend this movie to people who like vampire love stories and such.

The original Twilight, and Breaking Dawn P1 have to be my favorites so far. I will give credit where credit is due, Kristen Stewart's performance in BDP1 was much improved compared to her previous performances; however, I still feel there a lot more room for improvement when it comes to the displaying of emotions... as "unusual" or "odd ball" as "Bella" might be, she's still human, therefore she has human emotions and I'd like to see them. When people are in highly emotional states, you can read their faces and their body language, but with Bella (or Kristen), she rarely displays her emotions on her face or in her body language. Also, I'm disappointed that with each chapter (movie,) the characters' appearances change. Being among the "dead" you aren't supposed to be able to change your appearance. You are, after all, dead, which brings up the possibility of reproduction anyway. I would have loved to see the characters appear as they had in the first Twilight, but instead, you have changes of hair color (the dead don't change, sorry) and characters that look older (the dead don't age, sorry haha)..
Overall, great movie and I loved it and can't wait for the next one. Thank you, cast and crew, for providing me with a wonderful experience and loving memories.

I am a fan of the Twilight Saga. I absolutely love the books. Breaking Dawn is my fav. So, why did this have to be in two parts? It could've easily been made into one. It would've been a whole lot better. There would've been more action. The actors and actresses, seemed stale in their acting. Like as if they were bored or burned out from playing their role.
Two scenes that I was leery about how they'd be portayed on the screen, due to the young audience that comes to these, were the honeymoon and the birth scenes. I do have to say, they portrayed those well on screen. Although, the honeymoon could've been edited more, I think we can all use our imagination for that. It was a bit too long, if you ask me.
It was also disappointing that the Vultury werent on until after the credits.

It stayed true to form, following fairly closely to the book. It ended where I thought it would. A little disappointed in the one major change, wolves vs, Cullen, I don't think it added anything to the story, But asides from that completely enjoyed it. Looking forward to part 2, just hate having to wait a full year.

Bill Condon is the best of the four directors. MR didn't completely screw up the storyline with her screenplay. The music fit where it should with the exception of one of the whiny songs I dislike being the focus of the ever awaited for honeymoon scene. :( Major boo there. The headboard cracking was almost disappointing because of it (imo).
This one will be all praise; the nitpicking will come later. LOL
Loved the dress - not Edwardian, but perfect for Bella. Kristin looked amazing the whole way through the movie. The makeup, graphics, and effects during the pregnancy were spectacular and super creepy.
Loved Edward throughout. The two really acted like an old married couple. :)
The way they did the wolves was perfect - hearing them like that. Even liked the additional fight scene.
Billy was wonderful. The wedding set up that Sue and Charlie were becoming an item. His concern for Bella was quite fatherly despite her choice of husband.
The Alaskans. i got annyoed with Irina - Seth hadn't even shifted yet at the time Laurent died. :( Oh well, I suppose in her shoes I'd be similar in my actions.
The Rose Bella relationship was great. Fabulous how the Cullens all had black eyes through much of the movie (although that was a shift from the book - they were able to hunt more in the book).
Am not happy they left out most of the fabulous Jake/Rose lines, but what can you do. They did adequately portray the animosity between the two.
The imprinting was handled perfectly - Renesmee is absolutely adorable!
Yes, jumpig around - the wedding reception was hysterical. Jessica - bitter much? LOL Renee's song...
Charlie *sighs* love, love, love charlie. And Esme handing out sandwiches... Jake - my goodness but Taylor is becoming a spectacular actor. They all are really growing as actors. Kristen was wonderful, nary a stutter sputter and scoffs only where appropriate, i was very impressed.
I was slightly saddened by Quil and Embry. the two are supposed to plead with jake lovingly and they were as angry a paul. Seth was so very seth; and Leah was right on.
Chaske was wonderfully aggressive. Right now all is completely well with the Twilight world. One of the best things is that Bill finally interpreted Emmet and Alice's hair appropirately from the book - Kellan got to have some of his natural curls. YAY!
the expressions on Edward ad jacob's faces when bella says EJ priceless.
I am liking the soundtrack a bit more but loved the score, Did you hear bella's lullabye during Edward's toast? So cool!
Kari was great! Not exactly as I had pictured, but perfect. Edward surfing the internet was really cool - they tell you not to search the internet for health information - same holds true for vampires. lol
