The movie was amazing. We watched the first 3 before going to Breaking Dawn to refresh our memories and I couldn't imagine how they could have done any better, but they did!
It was an A+ excellent movie!
The characters were all great, it was easy to follow, kept you involved, but went by way too fast. I wanted more!
Loved, loved, loved the ending.
Looking forward to many more sequels.

Its a corny movie but I am a fan because I like to see what I read come to life. Of course the over the top romantically touched men in this movie add a little extra for me, even if it is unrealisitic =)

Have to say honestly not the biggest fan of the series but the movie was actually pretty good. This was surprising to me as I had tried to read the novels and was only able to get through the first book. I remember Breaking Dawn in particular was beyond horrible and after what seemed like 92 chapters of Bella's nonstop whining, an entire town including a family of vampires catering to her every little wish, mixed with the confusing story lines that started and stopped with no rhyme or reason, and maybe with only 5 chapters left I finally just threw the book aside. The movie was able to tell the story clearly and without all the long drawn out drama unlike the book.

I wasn't blown away like some of the previous movies in this series. Overall the movie was a little depressing, which is to be expected considering the content of this part of the book, but there were also some strangely awkward scenes. The way Jacob asserts his authority telling Sam off was the most awkward. The birth scene was strange too. Somehow reading this material I never felt weird about it, but watching the movie I definitely had some "wth" moments. Still, I'm a fan and it was a good movie overall. I'll see it again before it's out of the theater maybe a second try will seem less strange?!

Loved how they really captured the essence of the book. Usually when you read the book then watch the movie it's a disappointment. I was right back in the book watching it play out on the big screen. It was awesome! For a more mature audience however.

I have seen the movies because I read and enjoyed the books, but the books were far better than the movies. I think that the drama and chemistry just don't convey. Plus, I don't like Kristin Stewart and Taylor Lautner at all. She's as interesting as paper. He's a terrible actor. Kristin and Robert should have let the second director replace him rather than gang up against for trying to secure a better actor. Oh, and the underscore is so melodramatic. It's sad that something so mediocre is making so much money, but I'm to blame just as much as everyone else for forking money over for this.

Im not a huge Twilight fan myself but I did go see the movie because my wife is really into the saga. This movie was good to great. I have never read any of the books before but was still able to follow without asking too many questions.
I only wish that they would have at least focused on a few of the other characters, such as the house maid on the island. I had to ask my wife what her deal was because I could not figure out why she was so important for the few moments she was in the story. I'm sure that there is a deeper story somewhere in there.
Also, why is this child so important to the Volturi and why is she so feared? These questions wont get answered until part 2; which can be a little frustrationg to a person that did not read the book.
I understand the second half is going to involve the Volturi a great deal more. Their involement in the past movies is where I really started paying attention. I cant wait to see the blood bath that my wife keeps hinting at. Come on... Im a guy ...
All in all I enjoyed the movie.

I was looking forward mostly to the wedding scenes and the transformation scene. I thought the wedding was pretty good. I would have liked for the transformation scene to include Bella's internal dialogue. Leaving out the internal dialogue left too much to the imagination for those who are not fans of the books. I didn't like the added fight scene between the Cullens and the wolf pack. That was completely unnecessary, as was the sex scene that was not in the book. Hollywood always has to sex things up and it was not necessary. The love story should have taken precedence over the need to infiltrate the story with sex.

By now, you don't go to a Twilight movie without certain expectations, and Breaking Dawn part 1 DELIVERED. It was not a carbon copy of the book, but it did the best job so far in adapting the story to the screen. The wedding was the best, very long-awaited for all Twilight fans!

I thought they did a great job bringing the story to life! There were a few parts that could have been done in a little more detail for those viewers who hadn't read the book. Overall I thought the movie was excellent! The love scenes were tastefully done, but still a little racey for young Twilight fan's. Can't wait for part 2!

Really enjoyed this movie. Performances by Kristin, Rob and Taylor are better than ever. Loved the ending as it ended exactly where I thought I might. Loved the humor at the wedding reception with the speeches!
My only issue was the dubbed telepathic wolves. Audio would have been perfect as is and without all the audio voice lowering effects and noisy snarling. Was laughable when it could have been a cool scene.
Birthing and imprinting scenes done very well. Happy Twilight book fan here!!
