Great graphics and cast, but could have had a more developed story that was more empowering for girls. A bit disappointed that there wasn't a more positive spin on women, their relationships and positive conflict resolution.
Pros great actors
Cons not enough story development
Yes, I recommend this movie.

It is with a sad heart that I must report the death of the mighty Pixar. It first showed signs of illness with "Cars," a movie with big head and a small heart and then it faltered with Cars 2 a fruitless undertaking that seemed like someone giving their beloved idiot son a job at NASA.
SPOILER ALERT!!!!! STOP
And now we have "Brave" a film whose hero and villain are the same person. A movie that wants you to watch a woman get beaten like Tina Turner just because she's been turned into a bear. A film that sees a girl poison her mother because she is a brat and then "bond" with her after she's betrayed the most sacred of trusts.
Steve Jobs is gone and now the iPhone is a piece of crap.
The Pixar we knew is gone.
Rest In Peace.
Cons bad acting, slow, bad story, unlikeable lead, dumbass ending
No, I do not recommend this movie.

Visually, Brave is as spectacular as you would expect, making it is easy to become immersed in this vibrant and rich world. "Brave" is not on a par with recent Pixar smashes like "Up" or "Toy Story 3", but it is sufficiently entertaining for kids and adults alike. Youngsters with a taste for adventure will no doubt overlook the movie's workmanlike outlines and applaud its spirited, self-reliant heroine, who proves to be as appealingly unruly as her tumble of Titian curls. After the predictably generic first 40 minutes, the movie turns into an unexpected magical journey that was moving in the way we expect Pixar movies to be.
Cons slow
Yes, I recommend this movie.
