If this movie sweeps the awards on Oscar night it will be no surprise. We went to this movie thinking "hummm, a period piece, not really our thing but let's see it since it's up for so many awards". I wasn't sure if I would like this movie, much less love it. But I went, I watched, I fell in love. This movie well deserves the R rating, on language alone, but other than that, it is a terrific movie that highly deserves every trophy it is awarded. Colin Firth will win the top acting award for this movie.

Such a powerful movie! I was nearly in tears several times during this flick. My son stutters - he's 8. So he is just now getting to that age where kids can be really cruel.

I don't usually like movies based in this period and expected very droll movie. Exceptional acting and relationship between actors. The 2 hours really flew by.

Extremely well done. I will be very disappointed if this movie does not get Best Picture, Best Actor, and Best Supporting Actor. If not, I have to wonder where the Academy's heads are.
