Colin Firth and Geoffrey Rush didn't disappoint! Never once did I say "great acting" during the movie. That means I was totally engrossed and into it 100%. Bonham Carter was excellent too. A perfect example of expert acting being more important than action and special effects! I'd recommend this to people of all ages. I'd be surprised if Firth isn't nominated for "best actor" with this film.

This is the best film I have seen this year. Inspiring, superbly acted, beautifully shot, well written. It is a slice of life involving both royalty and Hitler. It looks at family dynamics in a way that is accessible to viewers. I was truly touched by this marvelous movie and it is well worth your twelve bucks and two hours. Go see this film.

Simply a superb film, both in conception and execution. The enormous accomplishment of "The King's Speech" is the subtlety in which its ultimate power is conveyed. Colin Firth and Geoffrey Rush are often astonishing, and yet simply another two members of a stellar cast. With one look, Helena Bonham Carter transforms stifled hopes to bountiful aspiration, for herself, her family and for an English nation. Flawless and all too rare in that it actually invokes contemplation.

I saw The Kings Speech in Toronto at the film festival. It got a standing ovation. When was the last time you were at a movie that got a standing ovation? I've told my family and friends that they must see this movie. It is inspiring and all of the actors and actresses are magnificent. Everybody in it should get Oscars, Golden Globes and every conceivable award in the world. You will love every character. You will feel like you personally lived in the palace.
