For the first 3/4 of the movie, I would've rated this a 4. Channing and Tatum pull off the awkward high school humor well... but then the drug deal goes down, and so does the movie. No need for the "shock-value" graphic, if cheesy, shoot-em-up... I nearly walked out.

I know of course that the movie was going to be funny but this had the theator to wear they could not stop laughing not for the children my little sister found out so many things that she should not know but she stilled had a great time please go watch it great acting awesome movie

Jonah Hill has taken the idea of the 21 Jump Street tv series and has ignored its serious nature and instead turned it into a hilarious raunchy comedy. Its totally ridiculous yet totally funny. The story revolves around two kids who graduated from the same High School, one who was cool but dumb (Channing Tatum) and the other who was a nerd (Johah Hill). Lets just say they are not friends but both meet with the same fate through different paths. Five years later they meet again in police academy where they have to team up to make the grade only to be sorely disappointed by their lack of excitement and adventure on the force. After screwing up a bust they are assigned as a last resort to Jump Street where they have to pretend to be in High School again in order to bust a drug ring. Their boss (Ice Cube) is a scream. But High School is not like it was when they attended and it takes so getting used to. Both of them get their chance to fix the things they messed up the first time around. Surprisingly you'll find the movie actually heart. If you're not easily offended you'll be laughing until you cry.
Watch for the cameos from the original tv cast! And if you think you are seeing James Franco, its actually his brother Dave and he's quite good!

Some very funny jokes, especially in first 30 minutes. Probably 40-50 (really) references to male genitals. Maybe 3 to female's. Several amazing and hilarious car chase. Cameo appearances from original 21 Jump Street show, but bizarrely not one of the key guys. I think that omission, along with the attempt to make it have some heartfelt emotional scenes, really sags down the plot. Still funny and some great lines/characters.

I thought this movie was going to be corny and it was so funny! I was laughing so hard I had tears rolling down my face. I was not sure that Channing could play this role but he did an awesome job and this was by far Jonah Hill's best movie. I loved the appearances by the old 21 Jump Street cast. I highly recommend this movie.

I was honestly skeptical of this film when I saw the reviews. I was not a fan of the tv series, so I thought it would be a bad re-hash. My girlfriend, however, talked me into going. I am glad she did, because this movie was side-splitting, don't be sipping soda because you'll spit it all out funny. Scene after scene was ridiculous, and the comedic timing from all the actors was spot on. If you want to laugh a lot, and really be glad you're not in high school anymore, go see this movie!

The premise is that two guys go back to high school and pose as students to infiltrate a drug distribution ring -- one was a nerd, the other a popular tough guy. This leads to some pretty clever plot developments and humorous variations on situations commonly seen in the "undercover" and "buddy cop" genre, as well as themes about overcoming one's weaknesses. Both actors are very funny and have good comedic timing. There are times where it's too over the top, and I rolled my eyes a bit, but overall, if you're open to suspending reality and having fun, this was an enjoyable two hours, and the production succeeded in providing good, silly but clever entertainment.
