This is the best spiderman movie till date. Only wish they had a slightly sober villian instead of the scary green monster so kids could watch it. Not recommended for kids under 6. Other than that the action sequences and dialogues were just too good.

First off, this isn't the same as Sam Raimi's trilogy. If you're looking for a completely action packed movie from beginning to end, you won't find that here, but you'll definitely be entertained. I love the direction this movie went, better explaining and showing the origins and beginnings of Peter Parker/Spider-man. The new camera angles (you'll see) definitely make this movie worth viewing in 3D. It's a story truer to the comic book Spidey, but still original in plot and story.

Emma Stone is a great Gwen Stacy and a much better side-kick than MJ (Mary Jane) Watson. The story line was a good one and the effects were on point, even in 3D. I highly recommend any comic book geek head to the theater.

The movie overall is awesome! The bad thing was opening on July 3rd which overall I think would draw smaller crowds..however this Friday and Saturday should rock sales!! This is an excellent story, cast and leads for future sequels to be even better and better!!!!

Storyline started out slow, but when it got to the action it was exciting. Adrew Garfield is a good actor, but I don't think this role was for him. Also, I thought the MJ and Peter pairing is much better than the Gwen and Parker. Overall, though good movie and will probably buy the video.

Summer blockbuster. Decent night out. Doubt the 3D added much and getting tired of wearing the glasses and paying for this. Very slow at times. Everyone around me seemed to lose interest about 2/3 through and by the end I just wanted to get going.

You start off this movie thinking it will eithe rbe better or worse thean Reimi's films. Indeed they are in my opinion. Peter Parker was more funny, and had a lot more of a personality in this film than the others. It was very enjoyable and it was a beautiful film! Best spidey yet!

This was one of the best movies i've seen in awhile. Had everything you can think of for a fantastic movie.... I'd see it 10 more times with anyone who hasnt seen it. And i cant wait to see more of Spiderman!

I now rate movies by how quite the teenagers are when the movie begins and during this movie I barely heard peep. This was a better spider-man, one that just may be of comic book quality, I was impressed and give it my recommendation.

I was admittedly, a bit ambivalent about seeing this. I was afraid it would be too close to the Sam Raimi films, but this movie stands on it's own merits very well. Not quite sure this one needed to be rebooted, but it's too well-done for me to complain!

Cons not needed to reboot but well-done

I am, and always have been, a huge spider-man fan. I have watched all (now) four movies and have watched them progressively get worse. I had really high hopes for this movie because it really does stay very close to the comics... but the comic they passed out to all the movie patrons was more interesting and had more action than this movie. If you like long back stories (which is not needed for spider-man... practically everyone knows who he got his powers) and an unconvincing love story... then you will like this movie; but if you actually enjoy action and a good plot... go see the Avengers or go rent the Dark Knight.

No, I do not recommend this movie.

This chapter brings a whole new direction to the Amazing Spiderman. I really like the new back story involving his parents. Peter Parker is still a brooding teen trying to find himself, but he also shows the sarcasm and sense of humor we all know and love in the Spiderman character. The only. Downside.. too many people find out Spiderman's identity as Peter Parker in this installment.
Pros great story, great actors, awesome effects
