I thoroughly enjoyed this movie. There is very little downtime. It's very exciting and moves so fast that you don't mind the 2hr. plus time you spent in your seat. Sometimes it's like a travelogue, you are visiting Budapest, Moscow, Dubai, and Mumbai. It's well worth the price and you'll be asking each other, "How did they do that?".

Since when has the fourth movie in a series been better than any of the previous three?
Until now, I couldn't think of any. Tom Crusie and a stellar cast bring all the action and story alive in an incredibly fun and action-packed movie in Mission: Impossible ~ Ghost Protocol.
While maybe a tad too much humor was inserted, and that could be argued against, the sheer scope of the action is enough reason to recommend seeing this in IMAX or on an Ultra Screen.
Paula Patton is easy on the eyes for the guys and does a great job as a fighting agent while Cruise gives the ladies a good view of an awesome body for a guy even half his age.
Simon Pegg may be over the top, but his comic timing was dead on.
Jeremy Renner, supposedly the heir apparent to Cruise in the M:I movies, does a good job with the action sequences. His acting was a little off but I can live with it.
I can recommend this film for any teenager all the way up to the grandparents who used to watch the old television series.
A great time and, finally, something I won't complain about forking over ten-bucks-plus for (I saw it on the Ultra Screen).

This is probably the first of the movies to adhere mores strictly to the television series, which makes for a great storyline. However, there are quite a few points in the action that fail to keep your suspension of disbelief. I won't go into any detail about them, as that would ruin the story for you, but they typically occur where there is action and some kind of comedic relief.
The cinematography is great, but I felt like I was watching a Pink Panther movie when gadgets failed. All-in-all it is an entertaining movie, but be aware that there are several flaws that may or may not make the movie less enjoyable for you.

Lots of action. Talking o Wife after movie...
1st MI...?? Didn't understand plot 2nd MI: Don't Even remember it at all, 3rd: This was the best of them with Hoffman and Ghost: 2nd best. The hokeyness was a little over the top even for a MI in Ghost. Cruise is good but goodness can they get any closer shots on his face the whole movie? And last but not least, I get a kick out of how he only gets shorter co actors than himself which makes them look like spy munchkins when they enter the scenes. LOL.

Great acting, fantastic real stunts (ie non CGI and you can really feel the dif). This is a movie you can take Jr Highers and up to since there is not much foul language or racy scenes. The action is intense and thrilling like a roller coaster. You are on the edge of your seat the majority of the movie. The plot was a bit thin (if you saw the trailer you pretty much know the plot) with several instances of fridge logic, but they did a pretty good job denying the audience until the end without feeling contrived; it redeemed the franchise. For those of us that liked the TV show, the music tied back to the show so well; it really made it great for me. Once, I'd like the IMF to do things right and have nothing go wrong. The TV show was able to pull that off most of the time.
