frankly shocked at those who apparently didn't like this movie. Many have put it in their top 10 for 2011. As far as action movies that are actually SMART, I put it at the top of my list. This is one of those movies that you are glad you saw it on the big screen because the cinematography is part of the movie, and a strong part at that. I will say that I do consider myself a Tom Cruise fan because I grew up on his films and took about 10 dates to Top Gun in 86, so I'm glad to see him have a winner again. Just remember if his next flick is not a winner with the 80's music theme then Mr. Cruise you might be flying a plane full of rubber dog s*** out of Hong Kong...(okay not so subtle Top Gun reference). Jeremy Renner is a fast up and coming star that no doubt will have multiple Oscars on his path if he keeps going the way he is. This is a good one folks. Enjoy!!!

Every fight scene goes on WAY too long and most of the stunts are completely unbelieveable. I miss the original Mission Impossible where the technology was believeable and the story lines/suspense much more complicated.

On the edge of your seat action sequences, story line a bit hard to follow and the movie is about 1/2 hour too long, but overall I would recommend if you like fast paced action movies. My 10 year enjoyed it too.

Just another run-of-the-mill 'spy' movie which didn't get very exciting until near the end. Even then, it was over the top and not believable.
MI represents what is common in the movies: minor story line eclipsed by special effects. Yawn.

Mission Impossible was very entertaining. It was so full of action that for much of the movie I was on the edge of my seat. There is some humor too which took the edge off just slightly. A must see movie.

If the concept of Special Effects and action have evolved over the years, then MI is the epitomy of the concept.
Don't look for plot, don't look for story line and above all don't look for a credible story.
DO GO SEE THIS MOVIE, if you are into incredible action, breath taking special effects and thrills galore.
There are stunts that Cruise performs (according to the press he personally did them) that are unbelievable.
The scene in Dubai is perhaps the most breath taking I have ever witnessed as well as those in Mumbai.
Oh the character hint, the billionaire is played by the same fellow who played the game show host in Slum Dog Millionaire.
Would I go see the movie again? Yes, if for no other reason that the super fast pace and non-stop action probably caused me to miss some key elements.
Clearly if SX are an Academy Award category, this is the winner. If you aren't looking for a cure for cancer or how the world was created, and just looking for a fun 2 hrs go see MI Ghost Protocol today.

My wife and I seen the movie in one of the AMC Cinema Suites. It was a great atmosphere and was a lot of fun. there is sub woofers in the seats so it was rocking all night. A lot of great stunts and typical Tom Cruise movie. We highly recommend this movie to all who like actions movies. It was like riding a roller coaster with all the stunts and suspense.

I felt this film far exceeded the last two! The plot, the script, the acting by Tom Cruise and the cast that surrounded him was nothing short of outstanding. The special effects and stunts in the film offered some breathtaking moments as well. Of course it was also fascinating to be able to see far away parts of the world where filming was done as well. All in all, I would give this film a high five stars on all accounts!

I really enjoyed this movie. Yes, I realized that the reality of some of the situations was stretched, but still it was a fun, lots of action movie.
I usually don't like Tom Cruise as an actor but he seems to have found a fit as Ethan Hunt. I liked the interplay of the 4 members of the IM team. I can see another movie coming using this team of 4.

Excellent movie. The effects were spectacular and I was at the edge of my seat, sometimes grabbing onto my husband. Really enjoyed the Luxe seating!!
