I thought it was great but then again, I had read the Carter series as a kid before the Tarzan series; qualifies me as an old guy who likes classic stuff. A bit slow in parts and nothing like Star Wars or Avatar but good enough. Too bad that budget was so large or we might be seeing a sequel.

It is amazing how can this movie not had any success in the Box Office. Amazing story, Fantastic 3D. Yes i do suggest to friends to see this movie. It is sad because there is 3 more books related to John Carter that would do a great movies. Hope they do it. GO SEE THIS MOVIE!!!!

I loved it! Action packed, entertaining from begining to end! If you liked Avatar, you will LOVE John Carter! Still number one in an action/adventure/actor/animation Genre is 300. But this movie makes it to my top 5!

I have to admit, I was not expecting much, but within a few minutes I was totally into this old time sci fi flick. The style was reminiscent of films from an early era, but the computer animation was state of the art. The actual story was written by Edgar Rice Burroughs who also authored Tarzan. Its steampunk meets sci fi. And although the acting is nothing special, the action is. The story line is paper thin but it hardly matters. Its just plain fun and it works. If you like fantasy and adventure you will love this one!

I did not wanted to see this movie. From the trailer I thought a men jumping that high? its going to be a flop of a movie. Well, I was wrong big time. I DID NOT EXPECTED FOR THIS MOVIE TO BE THIS GOOD!!! After the 15 mn. of the movie I was so into the movie that I even forgot to eat the candy I got....I recommend this movie to every one. Is the new Indiana Jones!!

Let John Carter stand sadly as proof that the movie site talking heads had it right: Bad marketing can kill a good movie. Based on a Edgar Rice Burrough's story (poor Edgar doesn't have Jane Austen's post-mortem literary agent), it's classic science fiction before it was overbloated into sci fi. Good cast led by Taylor Kitsch (Friday Night Lights), well-done script and alien races that actually manage to wipe the Jar Jar aftertaste from your mouth. This story isn't about explosions, but a man's self-redemption. If you liked Star Wars (the original three), LOTR or even Thor, you should see this.

Great movie, well written, the wife and I enjoyed it from beginning to end. The story line was well thougt out and easy to follow. Best of all, for an action move, it didn't use any vulgarity that I noticed.
