This film brings you all the action of MMA and a "tear jerking" storyline at the same time. After the first few minutes, my wife said that she did not like this movie but, by the end of the movie, she was singing its praises and I do beleive she shed a tear or two.

Just saw a sneak peek of Warrior. All I can saw is WOW! Great film. Great performances. The characters are deep and believable and the story will probably have you leaving the theater in tears.
The fight scenes were done really well. I've been cage side at hundreds of MMA fights as a photographer and believe me when I say this is some of the most realistically portrayed MMA action I've seen to date on film.
Tom Hardy, Joel Edgerton, Jennifer Morrison and Nick Nolte all give good performances and I think Nick Nolte had a couple of moments in the film that should be considered Oscar worthy.
I know a lot of people won't agree with me on this and I can understand, but Warrior has bumped Rocky out of my top 5 favorite movies of all time. IMHO (which some of you will consider worthless) I think it's that good.

I'm just like everyone else I saw the sneak preview screening and thought it was going to be full of cheesiness and suck balls. I so surprised after leaving the theatre of how good it was. Watching the movie i was conflicted for which brother should win because they both had compelling stories. You don't have to be a fan of MMA to enjoy this movie.
This movie is one of the best of 2011.

The casting and acting in this movie is superb. Nick Nolte - spot on good. It is about MMA and UCF but it's more. A movie that is not only exciting, moving and compelling from the beginning to end, but one that touches a certain place in the heart when there is a family enstrangement that begins to resolve itself through the couse of the movie. The fight scenes are not bloody and over the top but well choreographed and very believeable. This is the new ROCKY of the 2000's and just a very good and enertaining movie. Go see it and maybe more than once !

I took my soon to be 14 year old son with me and we were captivated by the story and the acting. Honestly, if real critics out there for some reason find fault with this movie then they don't know anything about movies!! Here it is the next day and I'm still thinking about the movie. Nick Nolte, Joel Edgerton and Tommy Hardy are phenomenal in the movie. Joel and Tommy are beautiful looking men!! The script really hit home for me and I would definitely see this movie again!! Just don't miss it! Could possibly be Picture of the Year!

We were four people...my husband and I took our 2 sons (ages 11 and 6). We were all completely taken by this movie. The acting was superb, the script was well written and it kept us talking and stuck with us to the next day. I would highly recommend this movie. We were first worried about the length with the 6 yr. old, but he was completely engrossed the entire time.

High action movie featuring UFC/MMA fighting and plays out like a true story with family issues dealing with alcoholism, economic and war. The training parts are short, but I like the split screen feature. [The Rocky movies have much better music, and the training is more detailed.) Warrior is similiar to the 2010 movie, The Fighter, but this movie moves much faster. Disappointed in the ending which is left upon your imagination; would have liked the next chapter. Who will you cheer for? Will it be the war hero or the teacher?

This is a superb fight movie -- and like all fight movies, it plays the background for the real drama, which in this case, is the splintered family dynamics of an alcoholic father (Nick Nolte) and his two sons (Tom Hardy) who chose to protect his mother and (Joel Edgerton) who chose to stay with dad until things fell apart. Through a series of circumstances they meet in the ultimate MMA fight. The story is fictional, and yet it plays out as if it were real. The acting is top notch and the fight sequences are very well done. But what makes this really top-notch is the mini-dramas which dizzle from beginning to end. Tom Hardy's abs have an acting life of their own. Joel Edgerton (a very well known Australian actor) here makes his first mainstream US film, and is a name to be remembered. Warrior, by far one of the best movies of the year, is sure to be recognized come Oscar time.

This is one of the best movies I have seen in a long time. I liked "The Help" but I think this movie whips up on it. Its similiar to rocky but with much better acting and a lot more action. Definately a must see, even if you do not watch UFC. If you do watch UFC then you will like it and appreciate it even that much more.

Magnificent. The 21st century version of "Rocky" and "Raging Bull" rolled into one, "Warrior" is as solid as Tom Hardy's steely ab muscles. It hardly rewrites the rulebook, but Warrior is a powerful, moving and brilliant sports-pic-com-family drama. Like The Fighter, but with kicking. As so many films get lost in the Friday shuffle of new releases, it seems easier for a quality, smaller film to miss its audience. Don't lose Warrior. It's one of the best films of 2011. A must see.
