I'm not into UFC or MMA or anything like that, but man, I was on the edge of my seat for this one...all the way to the end! That's a great film. Finally. Great acting, good script, great entertainment! They got this one right.

You don't have to be an MMA fan to like this movie. Seriously, this is one of the best sports movies I've ever seen...let alone movie, period. It is packed with captivating personal storylines throughout, and equally moving in the end. I HIGHLY recommend this movie!

How can a movie about the most violent sport in the world be so moving at the same time? Don't let this film scare you away if you're not a fan of MMA or sports in general...or if you're a female. This film explores elements of redemption, economic hardship, post-traumatic stress disorder, familial strife and human tragedy, with Mixed Martial Arts serving as its backdrop. Tom Hardy, who turns in yet another stellar acting job, plays a soldier and former fighter returning home to his estranged father, while Joel Edgerton plays a physics teacher and former fighter who has fallen on difficult financial hardships. Their stories run parallel through most of the film but then intersect at the fairly predictable apex of the movie. But that doesn't take away from the truly moving and emotional depiction of their troubled relationship on-screen. Outstanding acting, tremendous fight sequences and a genuinely affecting story all around.

What an emotional realistic movie! It had it all, great acting, emotional drama, along with some fantastic hard core fighting. My husband and I love this movie. Run time is 2hrs and 19 mins, and it never stalled out. Great movie, I highly reccomend it!

This movie is amazing. They cast each character perfectly, and it really pulls you into the story. My wife loved it just as much as I did, and she hates "fighting movies." This movie has great fight scenes, but it also has an amazing story line that anyone can appreciate.
