Took two tries to see this at the Rave 18 cinema in Marina del Rey. Halfway through the first attempt, there was an unscheduled fire drill! Someone had pulled the fire alarm, and the management couldn't figure out how to shut it off, so they issued refunds and called it a day.
The movie itself? Quite good! I'd go to 4.5 stars if I could. Cerebral for an action flick, though not deep (and way too expository in parts), and features some groundbreaking visuals you'll see again in lots of imitators. (Remember Bullet Time after the Matrix came out? Like that.) Deserves to make money.

I loved this movie. The entire concept of the movie amazed me. I have heard some people claiming it to be unrealistic with flaws but c'mon people, it's a movie! The score fit perfectly and the pace was great. If you like straight-forward, in your face action movies with simple plots, this movie is not for you. If you like a movie that makes you think and pay attention, you will love this.

I went to Inception with incredibly high expectations, as all our friends had raved about it. We hired a babysitter, so there was an extra $30 riding on the film. I was not disappointed! This movie was flawless, exciting, intruiging, mind-blowing, humorous, sentimental, devastating, heart-warming... Possibly the best movie, in concept and visuals, since The Matrix, with more heart. I would recommend it to all, and I will definitely be seeing it again. I saw it in IMAX, which was spectacular. The first 20 minutes of the movie, I was a bit lost but enjoying the ride. Through the genius construct of a new team member, the audience was filled in on the back story and basic concepts. After we caught up, the complicated plot was surprisingly easy to follow. Every moment was beautifully shot, every interaction a jewel of insight or humor.

This movie represents the rare occassion when I truly LOVE cinema! It's terrific on many levels: special effects, settings, acting, story and screenplay. I was particularly amazed at how it was able to portray very complicated concepts and action so that you could follow it. Kudos to brilliant direction and editing!!! Some may be put off by its concept and complexity since there is a lot to this movie, but it demands and deserves more than one viewing. Awesome movie enhanced by seeing it at an iMax theater.

Inception was the best movie I've seen in a while. It was so mind blowing trying to follow them into each others dreams at different levels. The deeper story beneath it all was heartfelt and it's interesting that they leave the true reality up to the viewer. It makes you think the entire time you are watching, definitely a must see and at an IMAX!

The cinematography, choreography, wardrobe, acting and even the cast themselves are all exceptionally beautiful.

Visually Stunning and deserving of the IMAX touch. For my money, IMAX is the only way to go for effects movies. Inception is hard to follow. It helps if you have a basic understanding of the concept and know what each of the main players is supposed to be(that is each one is a "specialist"). I'm going again.

Sorry folks, I just didn't agree with all of these 5 star reviews. This is a sleeper. We literally fell asleep and left after 1 hour. Dull, lifeless, hard to follow, choppy, uniteresting. I kept waiting for it to have the "grab me" feature, but I didn't get that and it lacked substance. Character developement didn't emerge and I wouldn't waste my time on this one. In fact, I won't watch again to find out what happens in the end because it really was that bad. How the critics gave it the rating they did baffles me. I only agree with one critic who indicated early this season that movies this summer wouldn't be all that great. No plot development and totally devoid of thought-provoking ideas and insights. How producers can get behind this awful film amazes me. Trust me, when I spend $31.00 and leave after 1 hr. it's really that bad.

Fantastic movie. For a confusing concept it was very well excplained in the movie. I never felt confused or lost. The 2 and a half hours went by extremely fast. Everyone needs to see this movie. It is wonderful.

Definitley more than I expected. Two and a half hours went by quickly. The plot gets a little hard to follow at times, but the cimematography is excellent. Not sure if IMAX is a must, but it didn't hurt. The sound was incredibly loud, but that could be the theater and not the fault of the movie.
