It was awesome. It's a little hard to follow, but that just makes me want to rent it when it comes out on Blu-Ray so I can figure a few things out. It was very complicated, but also very entertaining.

My husband gets confused during movies sometimes, and he was a little nervous about all the dream within a dream stuff, but he didn't find this one confusing at all. My dad often has to get up and use the restroom during movies, but he was so captured by this one that he forgot all about getting up for a break! This movie had us involved in a dream world from start to finish. The visuals are stunning, and the plot is just complex enough to hold your attention through the whole thing.

I spent most of the beginning of this movie trying to figureout what it was about. Once I figured it out, I wasn't impressed with the plot. I would not recommend the cost of going to the theater for this. Special effects were great! If you have a big screen TV at home I would recommend you wait for DVD if you want to see this movie.

I've read other reviews that slam this movie but I thought it was wonderful. I was caught up in it from the get go.... I had no problem following the movie as some have suggested. It really was fairly simple idea... Guy breaks into others dreams to steal secrets but then tries to implant an idea instead. To do so, he must go in 3 layers down. So, the characters in the first dream must go to sleep and dream a second dream etc. Wonderful!! Reminds me a bit of "The 13th Floor" and yes, there was some "Matrix" style effects, but the premise was totally different, so those comparing it to the Matrix are way off base.. There are twists and turns and intrigue. Quite entertaining and thought provoking at the same time.... Are you sure you are reading this? Maybe you are just dreaming that you are reading this.

I am a big fan of scifi/great special effects and this movie was laughable. First I saw the previews for Tron and then I had to watch Inception. The script played like it was written for and by an 8th grader. The acting was literally unbelievable from the first scene onward. It was a cool cast but it just didn't work for me. All they had to do was convince me it was real. I am wide open for that and they did not deliver.

This movie might be hard for some to follow, I heard a few people when it was over stating "I was so lost". For those who can keep up it keeps your mind working and certainly dont go to the bathroom or concession stand once it starts or you might get lost easily. This movie was like a hybrid of recycled Matrix plots and an old James Bond movie (Dream sequence Level 3). Keanu Reeves could have been the star of this movie instead of LD!
Without all the CGI the movie would be nothing exceptional. This movie typifies the current genre of special effects taking over as the driving force of the movie rather than the actors and plot.
Dream sequence Level 4 seemed to be the darkest depths of the movie.
The IMAX version of the movie can blow you away with the sound and visual effects. You might want to wear ear plugs!
It all boils down to what do people really like nowadays about movies.....Is it the plot and actors or special effects?
Some of the people as they left the movie felt it was too deep to understand. I didn't have a problem with the four level dream concept with each level above affecting the lower dream levels. Also, what did the architect's really do to construct the environment of the dreamscapes? How did they do it? The plot doesn't really explain that.
But of course it just a movie about what's inside somebody's head which questions the boundaries of reality.
If anybody reads this and understands what I'm saying please spin a top to confirm I'm not dreaming!

So many twists and turns; it keeps you on the edge of your seat wondering what's gonna happen next!!! The storyline is unique, the characters are awesome, and the cast is unbelieveable!! I would've never pictured Joseph Gordon-Levitt in a role like that because I was always stuck on the memory of him as the geeky kid from 3rd Rock from the Sun, but he's a total badass in this movie! :) I have a newfound respect for him as an actor - he's really developed his craft. :) Leonardo DiCaprio is fantastic, I've always liked Ellen Page (who is equally fantastic), and the remaining cast is just phenomenal. You dont even realize that you've been sitting there for 2 1/2 hours til you look at the clock in surprise when you see that it's passed! Havent seen a movie that's done that to me in a LONG long time. This was the 2nd time we've seen this already, and we'll totally go back to see it again - and we NEVER go to the theater more than once (cause it's just too expensive). Seeing it in IMAX was just incredible! SOOO worth it. Now if it just came out in 3D...now THAT would be something!!

The movie is great, but requires a lot of thinking and some imagination on your own. I can understand if you don't like the movie because you came to watch and not be involved, but I loved it. There are many levels and intertwining stories that develop as the movie moves along and returns full-circle. It was a fine piece of work and I recommend it to anyone that is willing to think and move along with the movie, knowing this is not a mindless one.

A wonderful story with a truly unique premise. In line with Director, Nolan's other twisted tales like Memento and The Prestige, you are captured by the concept of "working" within other peoples dream's. Although the plot folds are very complicated, the beginning of the movie does a wonderful job explaining how the characters can enter dreams and carefully manipulate their surroundings. Still, after all this explanation, you are left guessing what will their effect have on both the dream world and real life. All of this on top of a sub-plot connected to personal turmoil experienced by the past of DiCaprio's character (reminiscent of Shutter Island) On the edge of my seat the entire time. Definitely go to the bathroom right before the movie starts because it is long. IMAX was exceptional!

This movie was way to long and the part that L D played was to big of a roll for him. I wouldn't put anyone through such a long and boring movie. Great Graphics though.

...and I will see it again. AND buy the BlueRay and watch it again. There was nothing not to like about this movie. Never once did I even think about looking at my watch and saying "When will this groaner ever end?" I was riveted from the opening, and I was not a big Leonardo fan. (I am now!) I must say however that Joseph Gordon-Levitt amazingly stole the show, especially in the hotel. I always wondered who Ellen Page was from the CISCO commercials, (not having seen Juno or any of the other dozens of things she has appeared in since childhood apparently) but she was just fantastic. All of the acting was superb, as was the score and especially the editing, which must have been next to impossible. If this movie doesn't clean up at both the box office and the Acadamy Awards I will be shocked. This is what going to the movies is all about in every sense of the word. Thank you Chris Nolan, you have restored my faith in someone's ability to produce great films.

Engaging plot, entertaining film, good acting. A trifle confusing in dream levels. Do we really have to watch stuff blow up in movies all the time? How about some clever dialogue and meaningful conversations?
