This movie was really fun and the special effects were superb. I'm not sure it would have been as good if it hadn't been for IMAX, which really is the most awesome way to view an action movie. The actors were all very good. My girlfriend liked it but commented that it could've been a little shorter. The length was fine for me, as I don't mind a movie that's a little on the long side. I really would recommend this movie in IMAX.

Inception was a riveting blend of action, suspense, plot, special effects, acting--and I couldn't predict the ending. Bravo! Much better than Dark Knight. Now I just need to join a focus group to discuss what it means. I did catch myself glancing at my watch twice, as it's 2 1/2 hours. For best results, see it in IMAX and PAY ATTENTION!

Amazing film & utterly captivating; so much so that I never heard anyone cough or a phone ring or anyone text, etc. during the movie. After the movie began, I'm not sure many people left for concessions or other reasons either... It was _that_ good --- & few movies seem to be these days...

I thought this was a great movie. DiCaprio was at his best, so intense...The whole cast was excellent. I am not a big fan of action/adventure movies but the previews made me want to see this one and I am glad I did. I also enjoyed the IMAX Experience except it was too loud, but I was riveted to this movie and was on the edge of my seat. I couldn't even leave to use the bathroom because it was so intense. Also liked the fact that it wasn't full of cussing like most movies now days. It was intelligent and you had to keep up or you wouldn't know what was going on. The IMAX Esperience with this movie had my heart rate up and at times I was dizzy from the movie...talk about being a part of the movie!! I If you are going to go see it go to an IMAX theatre to get the full blast of this movie!

A phycological thriller of the highest order. Saw it twice in 24 hours, 2nd time helped fill the gaps Memento is s film that springs to mind as style of comparison and Matrix also, although I preffered this over Matrix. The effects served the story instead of the other way around and did not become convoluted, you just need to think it through. Looking forward to my third showing when I can simply relax and enjoy it..

I cannot tell you how excited I had been to see this movie since May when I heard about it after being out of the US for so long. "Leonardo Dicaprio might make something less problematic than Blood Diamonds with a scifi tag-on to it? I'm in."
This movie has been my main topic of conversation for the past week. I had heard that the most negative review it had gotten was that it was "confusing" and "hard to follow," but that, on the otherhand, it was supposed to feel like a "dream-like state," "a dream within a dream," and like, in effect, you're left within a "dream-like" open ending to decide for yourself if what you see at last is real or still apart of the dream you went through with the characters. I saw it, now twice (once regularly, and once in IMAX), and can say that it actually is one of the best scifis I've ever seen. Besides the surprisingly good acting (which usually struggles in the scifi genre to me) with a brilliant cast (you have before you a Third Rock follower, born and bred) and amazing sets and effects to make it feel more real than you would expect as a viewer, it reminded me of how I felt discovering the plot of "Donnie Darko" years ago, with more clues and a faster pace that kept me guessing the entire way through.
Also noting what I perceived of as intense sexual tension between Tom Hardy and Joseph Gordon Levitt that kind of surprised me (not quite sure if Nolan had that in mind, but it made the movie more interesting for sure), I suggest it to anybody who wants to see something that will make you think about reality: who's to say that dreams are only dreams?

billboard ads around NYC led my curiosity and conversation to think matrix/the cell, when in fact; in a time of remixes, reissues, rewrites, reruns, sequels, and so many based off of somewhere in history's post-modern world of movies; i found the movie inception refreshing. truth be known i am a huge fan of related films, momento, and the dark knight. christopher nolan (director) has definitely evolved as his films come to face. straying from spoilers in my review, if you are a fan of films that give you the thrill of watching them a second or third time, not simply to awe at the impressively sculpted CGI or to follow the mystery as it unfolds, but to simply test your own experience of perception and awareness(such as, fight club)then you will enjoy this film. continuity plays the role of extracting itself from conventional use of the term. the cast fit like a glove as the characters appearing to be involved. a story that is of the moment, all at once, present. i highly recommend the film inception. a psychological thriller, action packed, visually striking and a ride to let go on.

I would like to start off by saying that this movie REQUIRES two viewings to be understood at an even greater scope. Not only because it is magnificent (which it is!), but because the second viewing gives you much greater insight into the absolute epicness and scale of it all!! Even when I watched the last shot in the movie, I knew what was going to happen, but my heart was pounding harder than it has ever pounded in a movie before. Furthermore, what makes this movie great is the depth at which it focuses on the main character, Cobb, his need to see his children again, while letting go of his lost wife, Mel. And the most incredible thing is that this story is told in the subtext of a mission to plant an idea (inception) into someone's mind - a very complicated process. And, naturally, things go wrong. The deeper and further you get into the movie, the more it provokes emotional reaction in the viewer. There is also a great amount of Ambiguity, both in different characters' intentions and different interpretations of what is actually going on. Overall, this movie had great acting, a great (VERY ORIGINAL) storyline, and it literally blew my Mind (especially on the second viewing!!)!!!!!

Great movie but very complex. Well written. Found the Imax version excellent. You must read the summary of the movie to ultimately understand what the story is about because from the very beginning of the movie the action starts and you become an active participant immediately.

This film had great visual effects! The Plot was as twisted as the scenery, but, by the end of the movie, we were left with the feeling of having remembered an entire dream complete with catharsis. Great film...It's a DVD keeper, when it gets released in that format.

This is the best movie that I ha ve seen in a long long time. The plot was so inticate, you really had to stay focused to follow the action. I love that it left unanswered questions but resolved the main conflicts. The acting was amazing and I would definitely say that it is worth the experience and the extra $ to see it in IMAX. My whole family loved it and it sparked great family discussions.

I went into this movie expecting a rollercoaster of strangeness that I would enjoy but probably not understand. It certainly was a rollercoaster and strange but I actually got it. This movie is soooo mind blowing I would recommend everyone see it, and see it in IMAX to boot. Now of course I have some lingering questions, and have come up with several of my own explanations, whether right or wrong it doesn’t matter. I would love to see it again. It is just so damn fantastic!!!!!! It should definitely win awards. Lastly KUDOS to Nolan for using as little CGI as possible. I mean of course they had to use some, but in a this day and age when crap is all about CGI, I LOVE that Nolan tried to use very little of it!!!!!!!!!!!!! WOW, just WOW!!!!!!!!

It's been a long long time since a movie made me go "WOW" and after this movie and the credits started to roll all I could say was "Wow"! It was complex without being confusing and I have to say one of the most intelligent movies in a long, long time. I have heard from a friend or two that may be put off by it thinking it is just another "Matrix" type movie but Inception is far from it. Masterfully done, original and beautiful. I've seen it twice and may see it for a third time.

I love the thought and originality put into this movie. You cannot go away from it without thinking about it and wanting to talk to people about it. It is not only a movie, but an experience, especially in IMAX. I did not even want to blink while watching this movie. Despite its length, every minute was necessary and wholly engaging, from beginning to end. The characters are all interesting and each bring their own thing to the movie, all done with superb acting. I've since seen it again, and plan on purchasing it when available.

Wasn't sure what to expect since I was not a fan of the Matrix movies. However, I loved this! Thought Leonardo DiCaprio did a fantastic job. I liked the constant movement in and out of people's dreams and liked the uncertain ending. Found myself discussing possible realities and being able to support both sides (yes the end was a dream and no it was not). Hopefully there will be no sequel as the uncertainty adds to the enjoyment. I will see it again.
