I had a headache once done considering I clenched my jaw throughout the entire movie. Amazing plot line, perfect cast. Quite possibly the best movie I have ever seen. It will be difficult to top this one.

Sure I could be snobby and nitpick at how every element wasn't perfect, but really this was a beautiful pulled off, incredibly ambitious movie. Nolan managed to fit in consistently awe-inspiring visuals, a creative and mind-bending plot, a touching and original love story, multiple exciting action sequences, and artfully done parallelism in one complete and tightly polished movie. So glad somebody is out there to make creative AND high-budget films.

What an incredible film. This is NOT your average action movie. I was invested from the very first scene. In fact, I didn't even realize until after leaving the theater how tense I had been the entire time. Impeccable acting, engaging storyline and awesome action scenes...this one's a keeper.

This movie starts off slowly, gradually giving you a picture of what the movie is about. The viewer starts off unsure of what is going on, but it doesn't take long before a general concept of the plot becomes clear. The main idea of this movie is very original and keeps viewers intrigued and on the edge of their seat. The ending could've been a little more fleshed out, and seems to tie up a little too neatly, but doesn't detract from the overall quality of the movie. All in all an amazing and beautiful movie. Watch it as soon as you get the chance.

It is a unique story concept. The soundtrack was a little annoying; but it definitely kicked up the suspense. The special effects put the whole movie on another level in movie-making. I suggest seeing it in an IMAX, to get the full effect. Incredible!!

Movies have become so formulaic and predictable that my love for them has been compromised. This movie brings that excitement and wonder back. The plot is a 100 out of 100. The special effects (many without the use of CGI) are 100 out 0f 100. The cinematography is a 100 out of 100. The acting is a 90 out of 100, with Leo getting an 80 and Marie Gottilliard getting an eerie and scary 100. To me Leo was a little too much Leo and didn't meld into the character like he did in The Departed. This is a very challenging movie. You will have to actually THINK while watching it even as you enjoy the amazing effects and non-stop action. A must see for anyone who loves movies and also wants to be challenged by the material. Note: If you find yourself lost just sit back and enjoy the mastrpiece unfolding in front of you.

Inception is one of those films that you want to go into it knowing as little as possible. My advice is that if you want to see it, avoid watching the trailers before you go, avoid reading any reviews, and avoid message boards revealing spoilers. All you need to know is that it's about dream invasion. The movie does lose a bit of steam towards the end (a flaw also in The Dark Knight) but picks back up quickly for a great, though provoking ending. There haven't been movies this original in a long time. Go see it.

Christopher Nolan's stunning "Inception" had me exclaiming "wow" in the middle and brought me to tears at the end. The audience actually clapped after one amazing visual sequence (I saw it on an IMAX screen on opening night), and there was a collective audible gasp at the end. The final image will, as some critics say, become part of cinema history and will of course be the focus of conversation for all who see the film. Leonardo DiCaprio continues his string of outstanding performances (give him an Oscar already) and Marion Cottilard (and the song "No Regrets" from her Oscar-winning performance as Edith Piaf) lifts the film to a higher level. The supporting cast is uniformly excellent, especially Joseph Gordon-Levitt (Third Rock, 500 Days) and Ellen Page (Juno). I want to see a documentary about the making of this film -- especially the zero-gravity scenes. In the meantime, "Row, row, row your boat, gently down the stream; merrily, merrily, merrily, merrilly. life is but...."

Inception, by far, is one of the best movies I have seen in a few years now. I have never done a movie review and I purposely made sure that I did not miss out on reviewing this one.
Inception is like a mix of The Dark Knight, The Departed, Shutter Island, and its own original movie wrapped up into one. Considering these are three of my favorite movies, I was very pleased to see Inception and be able to add it to my list of favorites now. Once again, Christopher Nolan has out-done himself. It is astounding how complex his movies can be (particularly Inception) and yet he can bring nearly anyone up to its level of thought. Inception is made for anyone ready to think and enjoy fantastic acting and action scenes at the same time.

Really good movie with a lot of action to keep those action hungry people happy. But it is more than just action scenes and beautiful effects and cinematography. There is an original story being told here that has elements of love, metaphysics and many other things that can be further explored within the world the movie has created.
I am not over analyzing the movie, and other people shouldn't as well because beneath all the layers of the state of being (which some people might call complex), there is a well structured storyline that should be simple to follow if one pays close attention to it.
What makes this movie excellent is that it can be enjoyed at many levels for different reasons, and people should not have the fear of not getting the entertainment they hope for because it is in this movie. Christopher Nolan said that this story, even though it was a challenge for Hollywood to accept was more complex. The man is a genius because he has put this movie at the level of being engaging, multi-layered but yet ENTERTAINING.

Wow..how do i start... I didn't go in with any expectations and found the first 15 minutes fascinating to a point where i was mentally trying to decipher what i was seeing on the screen... It hooked me in completely... what an absolutely mind blowing journey and a brilliant concept from the intricate mind of Christopher Nolan! I was on the edge of my seat the entire time. There were soo many layers to this story and instead being confused i found myself thinking through each layer throughout the movie. Action packed with well placed moments of calm and when the movie was over i along with my companion continued to discuss the plot and characters for a good hour more!

A masterpiece film for the modern times. A complex subject told in a manner that requires you to give it a very close watch. Great special effects, lots of shooting and stellar editing aside, Inception was convolluted and complex. It was also very long. The characters were poorly developed; you never really know who is who. Ellen Page could have found a better vehicle than this. DiCaprio seems to like dream movies. It's his second since Shutter Island. He likes the loud bombastic brass bursts for thriller effect. But it gets overused. He's a great actor with incredible poise and knock-em dead looks. But if the producers had offered a movie like this to Cary Grant, he'd have turned it down. Cary would have known it's just a lot of noise and flash just for the sake of noise and flash. DiCaprio should do better next time.

Sure this has extreme special effects just like any other blockbusters. However, none that one hasn't been seen before. Actually Matrix was the first film of it's kind that totally blew my senses! Inception I felt actually stole some of it's idea from Matrix but not as effective. Dream within a dream within a dream is nothing new. Central idea is brilliant however could've been executed with better actors. Mostly I'm getting weary of Leonardo DeCaprio's redundant character of this "tortured soul" acting with his wife..very reminiscent of the movie "Shutter Island". In fact the character is one and the same. Same mannerism, redundant accent he seem to have acquired from the movie "Aviator" is becoming very annoying for the subsequent movies he's played in so far. Mainly a very good music soundtrack would've really helped the movie but that was absent making the movie seem very long and slow to get to the point. The ending of the movie however definitely made me think and analyze. I would not recommend this movie to a friend but wait until it comes out on blu-ray or DVD.

I heard a review on NPR which said the movie was not that good. Well sorry NPR it was intriguing and well done. GO SEE IT we are going back.

Homage to Freud. Excellent attention to detail & world creation. Use of sound & music superb. Perfect ending. Post credit treatment of Piaf song outstanding. See it in IMAX or you might miss something.

Don't be afraid to see this movie--you WILL understand the plot (as long as you think of it as fiction and just go with the flow).
It is intense, interesting, compelling, served with amazing effects (who needs 3D?). We saw it in IMAX with a full house, and I don't think a single person left their seat during the entire length of the film.

The movie itself was great, I was disappointed with the IMAX though. I guess I'm used to the IMAX in Chicago which is literally massive. The IMAX here (Westminster, CO) seemed like the normal size of a regular screen back home in Chicago, not worth the extra money whatsoever.
