What a creative plot for a movie. I'm so impressed! For a 2.5 hr long movie, it felt like only 1 hr. There was never a dull moment and I liked all the character developments. Intense and exciting film with a bunch of twists and great ending. I would probably see it again just to pay more attention to the little details.

Calling it the best movie of the decade might not be appropriate. It should be the best movie of the century ! Not since, The Matrix, has any movie come this close to perfection and superseded it. And yes, do watch it in IMAX to get the best experience.

I was surprised that I was disappointed. I usually love intricate scifi plots, especially with psych metaphors. But this movie, while smart, was also stupid. Too much stupid violence. Nice dream stuff, but empty and clunky. Intricately constructed, but annoying.

I cannot express how good this movie is, from the acting to the score. If you want a smart, witty, exciting and touching action movie....then this is it!!!!!! I really enjoyed Inception. The story was captivating and held you in suspense for the entire movie. The cast was spectacular. Each performance was riveting and well played. The score was another triump for Hans Zimmer.
The special effects were eye candy and mind numbing. Christopher Nolan knows how to make movies and keep his audience engaged.
This is probably one of the best performances by Leonardo DiCaprio. It's good to see back on top of the game, especially after watching him drown in Shutter Island.

This movie was shot partly in 65mm, so I went to the Little Rock Imax in Chenal to see it in the best possible quality. What I got was a blurry, screen-door, large pixel 2k projection blown up that looked terrible! They cheaped out and didnt bother to get the actual Imax print, but they still charged me for Imax and still labeled it as Inception: the Imax Experience. False advertising!
side note: the movie itself was one of the best of the decade.

I haven't felt this way about a movie since the first time I saw the Matrix when it first came out in the Theatre. This movie was beautiful on all fronts. It was just AWESOME! Ok, this movie has all sorts of merits but for me, it was waay too long. They had Leonardo talk and talk and talk in a monotone and boring voice for way too long. This made my mind drift from the talking and onto details of the picture. Chromatic aberations in every single frame with high contrast. Including the ones that were obviously completely digital. Must have been the transfer to film and because this was in IMAX, the fringe was probably even more obvious due to magnification from 35mm.
Could have been an hour and a half with room to spare.
The freeze frames were cool.
As someone who has read scientific books on lucid dreaming, I can tell you that the dream science in this movie was a times correct but on more ocassions than not, complete fabrications.

One of the best movies I've seen in years. Smart, intriguing, thrilling, and actually original. The acting was great, and the effects were amazing. I can't speak for standard theaters, but the sound in the IMAX also added a lot. I'd recommend this to everyone who actually likes to think when watching a movie.

This is one of the best movies I have seen in a very long time! Suspenseful, exciting, action packed and tender in it's romance when it needed to be. Inception is an amazing and gutsy piece of work. It's a slow and careful build up to the biggest climax imaginable, literally. You can't believe what you're watching as it goes and when it's over you just want to talk about it to anyone you can and then go see it again. The movie has an original story and keeps you thinking till the end. Otherwise I would be probably bored as it is 2.5 hours long. I guess this is the best movie I watched this year. I loved the concept and the plot was intriguing, but about 3/4 of the way through, I realized I didn't care about any of the characters, i.e., whether they lived or died or were stuck in limbo. I think the fast pace of the plot didn't allow for deep character development. Despite this, great summer action flick!
