Went to see it again because I missed a few things the first time around. Thought it would be great to see it on IMAX, however, the IMAX malfunctioned; movie paused & the sound stopped. The AMC folks gave out free movie passes for next time, so I thought that made it worthwhile.

I've seen this movie over a dozen times, so when the opportunity came to watch it in IMAX I jumped on it. I'll probably be back in the theater today and tomorrow to watch it in IMAX again and again. Christopher Nolan is a genius and I plan on watching every movie he makes from here on out. If you haven't seen this movie you should go watch it asap because you will need and want to watch it multiple times.

Inception is amazing in more ways that I could review here. If you haven't seen it, you should literally drop what you're doing right now and go fix that. It will blow your mind wide open.
That said, let me say that any improved way to view this film is a must. If you watch the disc, you want Blu-ray, not DVD. You want a big TV not a little one. You want the sort of sound system that annoys your neighbors.
Same is true for viewing this in the theatre (which you absolutely should, while you have the chance before October 6). If you can watch it in any improved format, even including what I call the "faux-Imax" that is found in many AMC 24-plexes, that's still better than a regular theatre. While the improved screen size in the faux-Imax honestly does not impress me that much, the improved sound is AMAZING! This is a movie that truly demands amazing sound.
Do yourself a favor and go see this again in the theatre while you can.

Christopher Nolan has outdone himself! Inception is truly a epic masterpiece! This film left me both speechless and dying to talk about it to everyone I know. Half way through the film, I was already dying to see it again. This is the kind of film that leaves you wanting more of it, even though it's almost 2.5 hours long. It is lifechanging. It's provocative, expands your mind and takes entertainment to a whole new level. What a rush!

This is one of those movies you think about afterwards when everything starts coming together. It is one worth seeing more than once for refreshing one's memory of details. We were told not to get up during the movie or we'd be lost so we didn't. Made sure we visited the powder room right before going in. It was a long movie, but the IMAX experience was incredible. Very loud at times!!

Be ready to focus your entire effort into understanding the plot and following the action in this movie. However, it's so good that you'll enjoy doing this. I never saw a movie audience so quiet and attentive at any other movie, and I've been to plenty! Lot's of action and great special effects, but stay focused or you'll get lost in the plot. I suppose the ending leaves it open for a sequel, but I'm unsure if DiCaprio is into doing sequels at this point in his career. My suggestion? See it, see it, see it!!

This story is easy to follow if you pay attention to the whole movie. Not the type of flick you can chat about a scene with whoever you came with or go get a drink/snack. Don't use the bathroom either because if you miss one scene you will be lost. Go see it though because the special effects and the story are interesting. Left open for second.

This was one of the most gripping and intense movies I have ever seen. It is a detailed movie with alot to follow, but it is not overly complicated to the point of being lost. The attention to detail and amazing plot creates for an amazing experience.
I found myself and friends thinking, talking, theorizing about this movie for weeks after we saw it. It is a thinker. This movie makes its viewers want to see it again and pickup on the details you missed so you can try and get answers to the questions you had from the first viewing.
I sought out a better IMAX theater (Jordan's Furniture in Natick, MA - AMAZING IMAX theater - crystal clear screen, and they have tempurpedic seats with subwoofers in them that rattle you with bass) as the one in Manchester, CT is run down (in my opinion - screen is blurry, dead spots, blah seats, etc). Even better the second time! Go to that theater if you are in the area! It was worth the hour + ride each way. (They also have one in Reading, MA)
One of the only movies out there that makes you think after seeing it - if you are not into that then this movie is not for you. Inception had no slow points, it grew more intense right from the first minute, to the credits.
Happy that this was not presented in 3D just to go along with the "rave" of 3D now a days. The sound is excellent and eerie.
Can't wait for this to come out on BluRay!!

I'm so frustrated with the reviews that claim this movie was "hard to follow," or "too complicated," or "too much."
Finally a movie that makes you think again. That's what's wrong with our country right now, too many people not willing to think, they want every plot given to them on a silver platter.
That's no fun. We come to movies to escape. I saw this movie TWICE. Each time I saw something different, and each time I escaped into these every changing worlds the movie created. I loved it!
Imagine that... a dream, within a dream, within a dream within a dream. "You mean you have to actually think?" Yes. Might as well use your brain to relish in the fact that you got your money's worth.
Trust me, there are plenty of movies coming your way that will make you wish they gave discounts at Redbox; and, yes... that's just a dollar!

I enjoyed the total experience very much. The story is very interesting but I would imagine difficult for some to follow or understand. Regardless I liked it a lot.
I thought the acting was very good and as others have alluded, I believe Leo is becoming one of the best actors of our time. I'm not saying this is his best work, but his work is becoming very diversified and he has done an excellent job in almost all his roles, this being no exception.
The IMAX theatre is the only venue that overshadows my home environment and was first rate in every regard. Since I have a very good home theatre experience, I don't go out often to view movies, but when I do, the IMAX experience is a nice upgrade.

Overall, the way they play with the different levels of dreaming and its Unconscious is really interesting, I do love the detail and the coordination of every moment with such harmony, and the acting of all of them is excellent, specially DiCaprio who is becoming a master of acting. Overall it is a good movie with an interesting plot but here are my complaints and the reason for only 4 vs 5 stars. Too long Too much detail, like it is meant for people that just wouldn't get it unless you explain every detail.
would only recommend it to people I think would enjoy the action and a different plot

What a story! My wife and I were on the edge of our seats throughout the entire film. The layering of plot lines and characters, the mix of reality and, well . . . go see it to get this part. Leo DiCaprio has come into his own, Marion Cotillard enchanting, and Ellen Page was a great surprise. The rest of the cast were equally strong, with Ken Watanabe as a stand-out and Michael Caine's cameos a treat. IMAX was a good venue, but a wee bit loud.

Incredible action packed, fast moving, multi-story film. Wonderful. Keeps you on the edge of your seat. Careful though, it can get confusing.

I'm not an avid movie goer and this was the first movie that I've been to the theater to see in over 7 years. The plot is clever and manages to draw the audience in. I was very impressed with this movie. Like others have already said the imax sound is a bit on the loud side.

Inception was a pretty riveting movie. I'm not normally a DiCaprio fan, but he's matured well in this movie and I was impressed. The sound was way too loud though. AMC Columbia 14 theatres is not where I would go to catch this movie either. Their total lack of good customer service ruined an otherwise nice outing with a friend. I would recommend the movie to friends though, just not at this particular theatre.
