While the visuals were great and the story interesting (if predictable), the movie would benefit a lot from some deeper cuts.
I'm a strong believer that constraints make people a lot more creative, and this feels like another one of those movies where someone was given an inordinate amount of resources and what they produced fell a little short (see also: The Beach vs Slumdog Millionaire, The Fountain vs The Wrestler).

This is probably one of the best movies I've seen in years. While the simplest parts, the basic storyline, were very straight forward and easy to follow and predict, the movie as a whole always kept me guessing and intrigued. The creativity is astounding. I definitely recommend seeing this movie.

During a year of terrible remakes and unoriginal plot lines - Chris Nolan has saved the summer. One of the most creative films ever made, Nolan and the crew of INCEPTION not only fully grasp our attention for 2 1/2 hours, but even as the credits roll, we go back home wtih our families and wake up the next morning, we still find ourselves marveling over his masterpiece.
Visually the film is almost flawless. The wildcard for INCEPTION is it's score by Hans Zimmer. The final track by Zimmer, "Time", is so full of emotion that it MAKES the ending so brilliant. Come Oscar time, Zimmer, Nolan and his crew will be in the running for some pretty nice hardware.
Though long at 2 1/2 hours, you can't help but be drawn to the edge of your seat until the screen goes black. INCEPTION is pitch perfect and easily this year's best.

this was an extremely long ok movie. I went in expecting to have have my mind blown and not be able to guess the ending. I don't think it was as deep as everyone is making it out to be. Movies have been using that "is it a dream or or not a dream" scenario for years, it's nothing new. I really wanted to love the movie but I just didn't. I never got that on the edge of my seat feeling, I actually was wishing something would happen already. It's not a terrible movie but it's not amazing.

This was an intense movie. I was thoroughly drawn into the story and the characters. As I was watching it, I believed I was inside someone's dream. The imagination used to put this film together is amazing. It is like a gigantic maze and you have to just let yourself go with the characters on their journey. At one point I jumped when gunfire went off, feeling like they were shooting at me. Great acting, direction, effects...it has it all.

Glad I saw it at IMAX because of the special effects. The dialogue and character development was slow and not very interesting or believable. Don't think any actors will be up for any Golden Globes or Oscars but it was very entertaining. I would see it on the big screen again. Something different then I have seen in a while. It has a a Matrix feel to it.
