Super talented, and varied, cast made this PHC movie experience especially memorable. Just a great way to unwind, laugh, and see on screen (hate to say it, but you get a much more intimate experience in the movie vs. in person) the guy you usually just get to listen to on Sat. nights. 5 Stars!

I missed A Prarie Home Companion when it was at the Blumenthal Theatre in Charlotte. For anyone who loves to listen to this show on radio, you will not be disappointed. The close-ups were great and we probably were able to see better than if we had been in the same theatre with the show.

Garrison Keillor wondrously weaves an eclectic array of musical and gentle comedic talent into the fabric of two hours out on the prairie. I went from being entertained , being moved , and being spiritually uplifted by the show. There is no one else who could make Joe Ely and the St Olafs women's chorale seem like they belonged on the stage together, and no one else would even think to try it. Sara, Old Crow Medicine, the Shoe Band and large screen HDTV--we thought we had to go to Cowboy Stadium to get that.

My wife and I both like GK/PHC and the show, what we saw, was excellent, just what we expected. The problem was at the theater where the simulcast started at 8:20, so we missed the preview and the beginning of the show. That was a bummer. The theater made good, but we still missed what we came for..................
