The Prairie Home live show was a ton of fun! The pre-show walk around St. Paul was a kick, as was the droll 'interview' with Garrison as he shaved before the show.
The audience we watched the broadcast with was small but obviously fans of the show; everyone applauded for their favorite segments. It was great to see the performers doing their work with such grace, care and artistry.... and Rich Dvorsky is a genius!
If you're a fan of PHC, this is really worth checking out.

This was a wonderful and magical evening. The sound effects men were as fun to watch as listen to. Sarah Watkins sang and fiddled with such emotion. I've been an APHC fan since 1980 and loved every minute. I'll be watching for the next show.

The window to this show, as a movie, gave us such a connection to the cast, that we felt we were on stage rather than in the audience.
Garrison likes to warm up the audience before the show and he managed to do it with one of his guests walking through St. Paul. He's a genius!
The musical guests were all top notch and I'm particularly a fan of Sarah Watkins. Her mellow voice is unique.
I did sort of wish for more comedy skits and, as good as they all were, perhaps one less musical guest would have permitted time for this.

I give the movie an A+. I give the camera direction a D. The close up shots directly in the faces of the entertainers was stupid. Also way to much movement of the camera especially in the second half. Thanks for asking.

My wife is a huge fan of Garrison Keillor and as a result I have become one too. Seeing his show broadcast in person is second only to seeing him perform in person. Actually, it may be a bit better than being there in person because your able to get more up close and in person with the performers. Wonderful wit and variety of performers. Radio is not dead but seeing it is, in my opinion, better than just hearing it. Great show.

Loved the music and skits. Really enjoyed the walk around St. Paul before the show. It was a real treat to see all the people involved in putting on the radio show up close and in person. Seeing the sound effects team was such a treat. Listening to the show will be a very vivid experience ...I will be able to put faces with the voices and instrumentalists. I hope they do more of these.

This encore presentation was GREAT fun and very enjoyable! The production quality, both audio and video including especially camera work and direction far surpassed the Carmen encore from the METseen last week! The only flaw was that the encore recording was cut off at the end. The final number wasn't even complete and the audience had to exit in the dark! Garrison's tour of St. Paul prior to the show was really neat too!

We thoroughly enjoyed this film. The walking tour of St. Paul provided a window into Keillor as well as the city. The sound effect guys were worth the price of admission. The audience in Arlington TX was tiny - maybe find another venue in Dallas or Fort Worth?

This was absolutely enjoyable. I especially liked Garrison's walking tour of St. Paul prior to the show. However, whoever recorded it for the Encore cut it off before the end. We sat there wondering what happened and had to exit in the dark.
