These guys never cease to make me laugh out loud but the audio quality on this performance was inexcusably poor - it was as though all the sound came from a mic placed in the crowd at the back of the room. The parts that I could hear were funny, but unfortunately they were few and far between.
Also, the gag that ran during the credits was of extremely bad taste... the laughter came to an abrupt halt and everybody just looked at each wondering where what we had just witnessed had come from. If you must see this, don't watch the credits!
Also, Weird Al is great but his involvement was minimal.
No, I do not recommend this movie.

Hysterical riffing. I took my brother for his birthday, and not only did we both laugh through the whole thing, we quoted random riffs to each other the whole way home. A small part of me secretly wished for a cameo from one of the MST3K bots, but the guys were just as funny without any puppetry involved.
I agree with other reviews that I would have either liked to see more Al, or else no Al. No mistake; he was funny, but blink and you'd have missed him.
The shorts were astonishing. Even the pre-show slideshow was hysterical.
Would definitely recommend RiffTrax events.

I loved this show. This was my second Rifftrax event and I loved them both. My only complaint is that I laughed so hard my stomach hurt at the end of the night. Wish they were available on DVD so I could watch over and over. I do wish we could have gotten an original song from Weird Al... that would have made everything perfect.

Loved the movie, laughed almost the whole time! Just one complaint - you tell me I'm gonna get some "Weird Al," gimme some "Weird Al!" His appearance was only slightly longer than that of the pufta ice skating reindeer. That said, it was a very entertaining movie event and I would definitely do it again.

I loved it! I too wish I had gone the night before so I could see it twice. I havent laughed out loud in a theater like that in a very long time. If this were available for purchase, I would BUY, BUY, BUY!!! Very, very funny!!!

The RiffTrax crew dazzled with an array of quips, one-liners and acerbic pop culture references. They took a handful of odd, creepy christmas short films from the 40's & 50's (THAT'S NINETEEN '40s & '50s) and worked them over. There's the Christmas Toyshop featuring the clutziest dad around and a cartoon top-hatted Spider-Dog with a large scale toy war thrown in. My favorite was the bizarre interpretation of "Rudolph, The Red Nosed Reindeer". According to this version, Santa had inappropriate intentions when it came to reindeer. Verrry Creepy! However, the lads did a good job skewering the weirdness and making the films fun. I will enthusiastically give this show a 5 Martini rating!!! I am Bob Executive and I endorse this review.
