Having already been a fan of the multiple previous projects these guys have done I had fairly high expectations...and I was not let down. It was side-splittingly funny. The theater projectionist was, though I can't prove it, stoned. They started the feed about 5 minutes late then allowed the broadcast to continue for about 30 minutes after the show ended. This was amusing because after a few hilarious songs from Weird Al and the Rifftrax fellas my friends and I got to watch a satellite feed of Gloria Estefan Live from Vegas, in which Gloria lipsync'd like a champ. It allowed us to continue the riffing well past the movie. It was a unique experience and I recommend it to anyone.

Many of the shorts presented were from the 50's, some of the shorts were pure gold while others were meh. The swimming short was more of a curiosity with brief appearances of Johnny Weissmuller (Tarzan), Buster Crabbe (Flash Gordon) and Esther Williams. It was the least funny of the shorts and totally out of sync with rest of the show. The strong ending with the last two shorts saved this show from getting a 3 star rating. Hopefully the guys will have even better material the next time around.

The Rifftrax guys are as funny as ever, and I am pretty sure this show was the funniest thing I ever saw in a movie theatre (Close second -- Treasure of the Four Crowns in 3D, which should have been a MST3K episode).
I would highly recommend checking out the next live show they do -- and guys, please, bring back Al for a little more riffing next time!

I loved almost all of the shorts. They were extremely funny. I was hoarse from laughing so hard. The swimming short was a stretch, and seemed out of place. I didn't care for all of the vomiting when Kevin walked in with the Santa suit. Weird Al looked uncomfortable in his role as a riffer. Wish he would have sung instead.

Great event - my wife and I really enjoyed it. Some of it fell flat (like the swimming thing) but the rest was gold. Weird Al's appearance was fun but short in duration. I would definitely recommend going to see it in the theater for the "audience" feel, barring that it's worth getting on DVD - great for an annual holiday viewing with friends.

Rifftrax Christmas Shorts was one of the biggest laughfests my friends and I have had for a long long time. My lungs actually hurt towards the end! The material they chose for the most part was wonderfully weird and creepy in a post WWII filmstrip way. Weird Al was a fun addition and the shock ending will haunt your nightmares for years to come!

This is the second time we've take the whole family (2 teens) -- about the only time we all go to the same movie. Very funny. Getting in jokes about Jeff Gillooly and the JFK assassination sort of says a lot. Wondering too about why Weird Al was there at all. We were expecting a song parody. Maybe next year an MST 3K favorite - "Santa Claus Meets the Martians"?

I had a very fun time watching the old MST3K rip apart some of the most obscure of Christmas presentations I had ever seen. Indeed, the stuff they scrounged up was probably the most deserving of their scathing commentary. I couldn't help but feel let down though on account of there being nothing familiar for them to ridicule. Also, the two clips (pork and swimming) seemed quite removed from the thematic presenation. I still had a good time at the expense of some really old, shoddy cinematography.

This was my second Riff-Trax movie, and it is absolutely worth the price hike. All of these guy's stuff keeps you laughing.
This particular show, the Christmas one, was pretty good, but I felt that the show was hastily put together after they saw how well the last one did in the box office. Some of the shorts were funny, but not hilarious, especially the swimming one. Also, i kept hoping that Weird Al would come out and do a song; when he didn't, it was a disappointment.
Still, the show was fun, I laughed enough to make me cry, and I am still going to the next Riff Trax event, for sure!

The concept is great, but they saved the best for last. The swimming movie was only filler and did not fit with the theme.

I've loved these guys since MST3K and their humor hasn't faltered even a little over all this time. Once again, they've provided hilarious entertainment by riffing on Christmas shorts from the 40's. Also, Weird Al was a guest star, but he really didn't contribute anything since he didn't have many riffing lines.
I really hope they keep doing these live broadcasts. Plan 9 was just fantastic earlier this year. I HIGHLY reccommend Rifftrax Live to anyone who has a good sense of humor.

I hate Christmas something fierce, but this event was amazing. My wife and I love MST3K and RiffTrax so we knew what we were getting into, but it exceeded my expectations BIG TIME.
Really awesome time, and not THAT dirty to boot. You can prolly bring your kids, since they don't swear, and most of the off-color jokes will go right over their heads.

Nothing says Christmas commercialism like cheesy movies, and there's no better way to enjoy them than with the Rifftrax guys! Such a good time! I would love to have heard Weird Al sing one of his Christmas songs (like "The Night Santa Went Crazy" or "Christmas at Ground Zero") and he definitely could have joined in on the riffing a bit more.

My son got me hooked on Rifftrax so I always anticipate the show. This one wasn't as funny as others I have viewed. Weird Al was pretty lame. He seemed out of place with the quick wit of the Rifftrax team. The swim segment didn't fit in too well with the Christmas theme. The Christmas tree docudrama was priceless!

Negatives: -Weird Al's part during his riff was too small. -Swimming short not that funny compared to the rest- came off as filler. -Kevin Murphy's Santa costume at the end.
Postives: -Laughed more than any other movie going experience in a long time. -Rifftrax in a live theater environment is great. -Overall good choice of Xmas related shorts and commercials.

I saw this performance last night, and can't remember the last time I laughed so hard. Some of Hollywood's big block buster comedies may give you 2 or 3 good laughs but Riff Trax just keeps it coming! If your in the mood for this brand of silly humor I would recommend this show to anyone.
