Aida is my very favorite opera and this production was marvelous. The movie format allowed me to see things from many different angles. The voices were wonderful. It was a wonderful experience. This was my first experience with Encore. The acoustics in the theater made it musically very close to actually being at The Met. I will recommend Encore to all my friends!

Having been my first time to see this opera...the sets, and the voices were just wonderful. The Met lived up to its name with this one! Again, AMC let us down again, being an encore presentation, as in the last 5 minutes of the opera, including the curtain call, the screen went suddenly black, sound still on....a very abrupt and disappointing end to an otherwise wonderful experience. The house lights didn't come on either, when the screen went black...and the lights stayed off after the audio ended...leaving me and older audience members having to make their way in the dark toward the exits! So we had two "tragic" endings, to this opera!!!
