Considering the last movie I saw was at a drive-in with a tethered speaker box, the 3D effects alone would have made the movie for me. This movie truly has something for everyone, love story, shoot 'em up - blow 'em up, tree hugging, you name it, its in there! I enjoyed it so much I'm going back and taking my grand children with me. I'm not going to bother telling you about the plot of the movie, or the characters, or the effects. Chances are you have already seen it or have had your friends tell you about it thanks to market saturation. So allow me to simply say: Avatar is a perfect example of how Hollywood can afford to spend 100+ million dollars on special effects but can't hire a screenwriter to suspend disbelief, write compelling characters, create realistic dialogue, or avoid cliches. It's popularity also demonstrates how the average person can't demand better than to have their intelligence insulted (whether they know it's being done or not), flashy images, guns, and boobs (even blue, tiger-striped boobs). It's beautiful garbage and nothing more.

The little bit of the movie I got to see looked fantastic, amazing graphics, picture and sound. I can't wait t get to go back and see it! I had to leave because my 15 mo. old was making sounds and was so excited with the picture and sound and the JERK behind me very rudely asked me to leave, I was the better person and did! I really wanted to dump my drink in his lap. lol...Not gonna stoop to the idiots level! So I can't wait to get to go and see the movie kid free maybe when Hubby returns home from the desert.

I don't normally like movies like this, but when I was trying to find something to go see with my boyfriend I decided to watch the trailer. I was suprisingly intrigued and was even more impressed with the actual movie. I laughed, I cried, and my heart was racing most of the movie. It was a breath of fresh air considering all the other movies that are out right now are lame, or remakes. I would recommend this movie to anyone and everyone of all ages. It's worth the few extra dollars per ticket.

I found AVATAR to be very entertaining. Futher the premis that a planet could attempt to dominate another for its resources is very believable at it takes place on Earth as the norm. 3D really enhances the pleasure of the movie.

My husband and i thoroughly enjoyed this movie! I realize it was a long movie, but honestly we never got bored as we sat on the edge of our seats for most of the movie! We have incredible film makers and I know this movie will get a lot of awards. The plot was good; however, we saw several innuendos in this story---healthcare availability, terrorists, etc. This was subtle, but could be viewed as a movie made by liberals. Anyway, we did enjoy it!

I thought this movie had a good plot and was generally entertaining. The premise that planet earth would have to go to another planet to find natural resources because it had drained its own seemed plausible as well. This movie quite possibly everything: interesting storyline, intense action scenes, and it even had me rooting for the natives at the end of the movie. The one negative I see in this movie is the 3D presentation. Too many times the picture seemed blurry, and I did not feel the characters and background jumped out at me enough the way I expect 3D to. Other than that, I thought it was a really good movie.

WOW .. WOW .. WOW!! What a totally awesome movie this is. It took me hours to come down from it after getting back home. It has it all symbolism, amazing effects and visuals, powerful and meaningful story and most of all it makes you THINK. When a movie makes me think and flash back to it over and over again after watching it then to me it just doesn't get any better than that. I might have thought the accolades shown James Cameron for Titanic were totally unwarranted but with this one he truly is "King of the World". He is genius in his work on this movie. What can I say? This movie was astounding. I don't usually watch sci-fi movies, but this movie just proved me wrong. I'm in love with this movie and the characters in it. I've seen this movie in the theater twice!

I thought the movie was fantastic. I especially liked the moral aspect of the story line. The love for and respect for all living creatures was a message I feel we all need. I loved the technology used and the beautiful scenery with the 3 D experience made it really a work of art and very special. My husband said he would see it again and he does not like SCFY usually.

When describing this movie to friends (repeatedly) I kept using the term: "Unbelievable" then correcting myself immediately with "the Na'vi were REAL". It was impossible to tell where the CGI ended and the humans began. With the addition of the 3D effect I felt as though I was actually there. I was quite literally on the edge of my seat through the entire film.
