I saw the midnight showing of this movie and it was so worth it. The costumes were amazing, and the actors, especially. Johnny Depp and Helena Bonom Carter were great. Anne Hathaway's performance was a little disappointing. I just didn't like the way she played the character I guess.
I saw it in IMAX 3D and the 3D effects were amazing. I don't exactly know the difference between 3D and IMAX 3D, but if you're willing to shell out $15, you might as well go all out.

An uber fantastical tale that doesn't try to take away from or change the original story, rather, add a new chapter. With Neo-gothic undertones that only Tim Burton can deliver, you will come to know the characters and understand why they are what they are. Eat shrooms? I dunno about that, you may never recover. Yes, you MUST see it in IMAX 3D. It'll blow your mind! Sure, take the kids, just don't sit next to the guy eating strange veggies out of a zip-lock.

I thought the movie was visually stunning. Every aspect of the world I loved in the previous disney film and of the books was everything I expected it to be and more. Johnny Depp is the best mad hatter ever, I can't imagine anyone else doing that role as perfect as he did. At time it was a little confusing, it made me wish they had did a movie for the beginning part of it, the flashbacks helped. It is a must see and the IMAX experience was amazing.

the movie was awesome the glasses that were handed out at I max theater in Aventura Mall Aventura Florida was very used. yes they were cleaned as they said over and over but couldn't here my request for a new pair for a new movie. the glasses they hand out are very used and very wrinkled and when viewing very distorted, after all they are charging us for the glasses wouldn't it be appropriate to produce new eye wear. very distorted movie even caused a head ace for me will have to purchase a personal pair they are not interested in my request as others have tried, keep requesting who knows they might get it at some point

Not quite as Tim Burton creepy as a thought it was going to be, but in a great way! A lot of the movie was unexpected, they didn't give it all away in the previews like a lot of movies tend to do these days. It was a great twist on the classic and I thought all the characters were well played. Bravo Actors!

My son has been looking forward to this movie since he found out about it last year. He is a huge Johnny Depp/Tim Burton fan. I have to say I was enthused about seeing it, but he REALLY wanted to, so we went. I was completely enthralled with everything about this movie! I am going again on Saturday and will probably see it as many times as I am able. Thanks to my son, I got to see one of the greatest movies I've seen this year.

The movie was terrible. It was impossible to care about the characters - the few moments the cat shared the screen were the best. If the entire plot is based around this sword - why not give us SOME background info? Johnny Depp was well Johnny Depp. This won't be one he counts as his best, though. & that dance at the end. Are you kidding me?
LONG STORY SHORT: SAVE YOUR MONEY. All of the oo's and ah's you may get from the trailer are the most you'll get in the movie anyways.
