This was definitely a case for seeing a movie in IMAX 3D. I love the immersion into the film that seeing it in this format brings. The colors and visual design are spectacular. The story was definitely good, but not as spectacular as hoped. The visuals really make the film what it is. Well done and great jobs all the way around. A definite must see.

OK, The movie was simply divine and rewarding. Tim Burton never fails to impress and excel in his movie making ability! The Imax 3D experience was outstanding. Although I haven't seen a good 3D movie since the early 90's this one would have to rate up there with the best I've seen. U wont be disappointed!

Tim Burton showed us a remarkable Wonderland. I saw this in IMAX at midnight opening, show was sold out you should have heard the applause at the ending. The Mad Hatter, Red Queen and White Queen were great characters to watch. I read somewhere about Johnny Depp being the highest paid actor to say nothing. I agree but he does it SOOOOO well. I'll leave you with this. "Why is a Raven like a writing desk?" (The Mad Hatter)

Ok movie...nothing special. I regretted paying for the IMAX 3D version.
The story is supposedly the sequel to the original Alice in Wonderland story, however you don't really feel like they are connected.

this story seems to go along nicely with all memorable wonderland stories. all of wonderland (or, underland) was wonderfully burtonized. depp was charming, as always.
saw it in imax 3d, the 3d was incredible. i argue against anyone who says it is unnecessary. i feel we are finally getting past 3d being gimmicky and now it is becoming another way to immerse the viewer in the story, like wide screen format, technicolor, surround sound, etc. just as in avatar, you almost feel the blades of grass brushing your face.
it will still be an awesome flick to watch at home, but see it on the big screen, and in 3d, while you can.

The plot was simple and uncomplicated,and stuck to the cartoon disney version, but with a bit of Burton humor sprinkled in. However, as always Burton created a flawless visual spectacle. I especially love the "memories scene."

I guess maybe my hopes were up to much with this movie. I expected something twisted for sure (It's Tim Burton and Johnny Depp) and it was twisted. Johnny Depp was great in the role, but otherwise the movie didn't hold my interest...I couldn't wait to leave actually...the original version was much better. Alice in Wonderland was absolutely fantastic! Johnny Depp was, of course, a great actor and portrayed the Mad Hatter in such an amazing fashion. This is by far the oddest character Anne Hathaway has acted as but she did well. Alice, played by Mia Wasikowska, was such an important character and was played well throughout the movie. The movie is amazing, managing to populate each scene seamlessly with digital animation and character-actors. The 3D version is not worth the extra money however, as the depth of field and cinematography are Tim Burton at his best. The 3D effects only drown-out the visual experience as mere decoration rather than enhancing the film.

I would have rather seen a remake of the original storyline versus a new version with a slight twist. Characters could have been introduced better. The manner in which the movie ends is explained much too early, leaving little to the imagination other than how Alice gets to that point. No surprises. Great creativity in the scenes and visuals as expected from Burton. Wouldn't bother with the IMAX experience, but 3D was nice.

Unimpressed to say the least. 3D was unimpressive, the movie which generated so much hype fell completely flat on its face. Burton doesn't just hit the bottom of the barrel but drills through the wood and into the ground! The visuals are OK - But i feel to thoroughly enjoy this, one must be mad as a hatter and then some! Flat 3D, nothing like avatar, flat storyline, flat characters. I think Burton tried to go too far out there on this one, and forgot to conceptualize his story past infancy.

I would say the movie is visually stunning and creative. The down side to the movie is that it's really rushed. It's like there is a 4 hour movie here that got squeezed to 1hour 50mins and the way they did it was by cutting out all of the character building. Alice was a curious girl. "Curiouser and curiouser" is what she said once in the movie but she went through this wonderland not asking or wondering about anything. So many wonderful characters in this film but you never learn a thing about them and she doesn't ask. I hope the blue ray comes out with an extra 1 hour of footage added for character building alone.

I sat through the whole movie and so did my 9 year old. Normally we are getting up to get a snack or run to the restroom but not with this movie so for me this is the movie to watch. It kept my attention so for that I give it five stars. I will tell all my family/friends and co-workers to go see this movie. I really like it. Of course Tim Burton and all his crew deliver an amazing movie. But out of all the IMAX 3D movies I've seen this one tops them all. The depth of field of things going on is very deep. 3D and Tim Burton is a perfect fit. Great acting, visually stunning and great classic story. Go see it.

I love the Tim Burton/Johnny Depp/Helena Bohem-Carter combination...they work so well together. The costumes were incredible. Definitely recommend it!

Stunning 3-D! I loved seeing the Burtonesque moments-the tree and windmill that looked like the ones from Sleepy Hollow, the twins that reminded me of "The Shining," etc. Depp is a master at the facial expression and doesn't disappoint. Mia does a splendid job. And Anne Hathaway surprises as the White Queen. A definite must-see!
