It was incredible! The movie was beautiful, well written, great cast, and the 3D animation wasn't cheesy, like some movies make it. It made you feel like you were actually there. I would for sure, recommend this movie to everyone!
PS just go into this movie knowing it's going to be extremely weird. Which if you read the book or have seen the disney animated movie it shouldn't surprise you.

The way the movie was filmed to give the illusion of Alice at different sizes was incredible. The IMAX 3-D experience was well worth the extra money. It was definitely a good movie. Visually stunning; humorous throughout. The acting was wonderful; the storyline slightly dragged. I read reviews prior and knew not to expect the movie to follow the AiW or Through the Looking Glass storylines, but I expected a bit better storyline. As always, I love Johhny Depp and Helena Bonham Carter. Mia as Alice did a fantastic job, as well. I would recommend this movie at a matinee price - not the $15 price I paid.

I thought it was a very good movie. Even though it was based on another movie, the concept was very original. It was creative and all of the characters were funny at one point or another. I also liked that they changed the character's clothes every so often unlike many other movies do where they just use one costume for each character. It was a great experience and I'm actually hoping to see it again! The only thing is that I wish it were longer because I wanted to see more; I couldn't get enough of that movie!

I am a BIG fan of the 1951 Disney version of Alice and Wonderland so I was concerned that I might not like this darker, Burton-style film because of that. Burton did an excellent job staying true to the original aspect of the '51 Disney film (and 1800s book) while creating plenty of spice of his own. In the end he brings an amazingly tangible feel to Wonderland. This movie is excellent for its incredible special effects and the characters/story line. It is a must see.

I have to say Alice in Wonderland was absolutely awsome..it does not let you down. The special effects, the vividness of the colors and the exceptional 3D experience was worth enduring a full work day after attending the midnight showing. I love Johnny Depp, first saw him on 21 Jump Street and thought he was awsome then. His portrayal of the Mad Hatter was spectacular, he captured the true essence of this mystical character. Wouldn't have expected anything less from Tim Burton. Helena Bonham Carter made for a fantastic Queen of Hearts. I have recommended this movie to all of my friends and family.

All of my high expectations were met and I can't count the number of times that chills went down my spine while watching this movie. It is superbly cast, with Mia Wasikowska delivering a powerful performance and serving as a great role model for young female viewers by being strong and independent. Crispin Glover commands every scene he appears in as the dark, intimidating Knave. The Hare was my personal favorite, providing crazed comic relief. Visually, the experience is mind-blowing. Burton's attention to detail is more than admirable.The PG rating/Disney affiliation might've held this movie back from further greatness, as several frightening moments could've been pushed forward by more violence.

I love Johnny Depp's wacky ways and Tim Burton's dark and no limits imagination. Alice in Wonderland was a great way to bring the two together once again. I liked this 3D version better than Avatar's because I did not get motion sickness and was able to enjoy a 3D movie experience from start to finish for the first time ever!!! There was not a moment through out the movie where I was not entranced by it. Tim Burton picked the right actors to portray each job. Alice grows on you as the movie goes on. The visuals were beautiful; beautiful colors and very detailed. The 3D part was mind-boggling. It was a very pleasant experience and it did feel like for the hour and 45 minutes that I was in a whole different world. It was nice to drift away to something that wasn't reality for that moment. Overall an awesome movie.
The only thing I would say is maybe it would be a little much for the younger age. But that's my opinion entirely.

A most intoxicating non-alcoholic experience! The story was well told, the action scenes riveting and the overall look of the film was stunning. This is a very grown up version of the story and not for small children who scare easily. I would put it in the lines of the Narnia Series and Harry Potter, only so much more. The 3D effect made you feel as if you were in the film watching events unfold around you. Words cannot describe the super buzz we were all on after walking out of the theatre.

I came to the theater with an extreme excitement about Alice in Wonderland in IMAX 3D. The movie offered a look into Alice's trip back to Wonderland, the story was strong at first, and you were whisked away with the 3D images and amazing colors. The middle of the movie became less entertaining and more of a struggle to pay attention with the slow dialogue. The end saw a good battle scene and when all was said and done, a truly meaningful story about being yourself and having an imagination. I would like to give this movie a higher review, but I paid $15 for an hour and a half of on and off engagement.

Tim Burton teams up with Jonnie Depp and a full cast of amazing actors for another appealing cinematic event. Alice in Wonderland is the perfect film for anyone who is a fan of Burton films and/or Lewis Carol's classic story. I watched this film in IMAX 3D and was blown away by the larger than life Wonderland. The special effects, costumes, makeup and soundtrack all blended well to make you feel transported down the rabbit hole with Alice. We meet all the fantastic creatures from the classic tail through the eyes of Burton's imagination.
This is a good film for adults and children, though I agree with another reviewer who mentioned that some scenes may be too graphic for very young children.

well the effects were weak, the whole visuals were pretty, not much jumping out at you. dont go for imax. 3D is fine. even 2D if you want to be cheap, you will still experience a good movie. tim burton just took adaptations and had some cool artwork and special effects for alice in wonderland, but its all an adaptation. people who have read the original lewis carroll might not be so pleased, but if you are just interested in seeing an adaptation by all means go and see the wonderful actors and the cool visuals.

I had high hopes for this movie and I was not disappointed. Tim Burton, as always, does a great job with the movie. I went to the midnight IMAX showing and I'm glad I did. The visuals were stunning. The characters were all cast well and enjoyable to watch. There were moments more towards the intense side and plenty of laughs as well. Not once did I find myself looking at my watch throughout the movie. Overall, as in the title, I tip my hat to Tim Burton. I recommend this movie and would like to see it again myself.

Visually intriguing throughout. Epitome of Burton regarding the film's holistic aesthetic. Wholesome moral adventure story. Great for adults and children alike. Highly recommend.

This movie was so well done! The costumes were beautful, the makeup was unique...I really loved the girl who plays Alice! Never seen her before on the big screen, but she is quite the little talent! The movie was full of visual effects that will knock your socks off! I was thoroughly entertained with the plot. I think they took a wonderful classic and made it into something amazing. Definitely recommend! We will be seeing it again! But FYI, NOT for little kids, in my opinon. There are scary scenes that I believe would be too intense for little ones....

The story line was great not a repeat of the original but a great addition to the old story making it even better the effects where great and Johnny of course carried his character like a pro no regrets in loosing sleep to be one of the first to watch it.
