I went on opening night to a sold out show on a double date! My fiance who was skeptical had never been to a 3-D movie, and he was floored by the effect and graphics that Alice displays. The story was great, much more in depth than any book, the characters were colorful, and fantastic!

The best of Alice is barely memorable. The performances are all forgettable. Depp has his usual quirkiness as the Mad Hatter, but he has none of Carol's non-sense logic in the character. Depp's lisps are more off-putting than funny. His metamorphosis between one madness and the next are unbelievable. The CGI landscapes in Alice are wonderful, with Burton's usual gothic tones. But imagery can’t save the script. The 3D is poorly done and fails to excite. Burton simply didn't care much about Alice. The editing is horrid, and inexplicable plot holes are all over the place. Carol's work had some of those same holes, but in the realm of adaptation they should have been filled.

I really enjoyed Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham Carter in this movie. They played very over the top characters and it was fun to watch both of them. I also enjoyed the scenes with the Chesire Cat! Overall, this was a very good movie!

I loved it! Don't expect this to be the most incredible movie you'll ever see. Go into it to have fun and watch the beautiful FX and the crazy fabulous characters. I was mostly surprised at how scary it was, especially for kids, but it also ignites the imagination so don't let that stop you. Definitely see it and if possible IMAX 3D, a fun movie with incredible acting and psychadelic FX.

Yeah, pretty good, worth seeing. I enjoyed: the wondrous whimsicle score of Danny Elfman; set design, lighting and visuals; superb characterizations of the Caterpillar voiced by Alan Rickman, the Cheshire Cat appearing and vanishing into a smokey cloud, voiced by Stephen Fry; Sheen as the rabbit quite a delight. Both the talented Depp and Glover's character's could have better stretched and optimized -- possibly better directed. I give it 3 claps out of 5 and a smile.

They darkend the story too much. The dialog was garbled and difficult to understand( the Mad Hatter, The March Hair, The Mouse ,The White Queen, The Red Queen except when she yelled of withwhoevers head). They tried to explain too much of a simple story. The implied infidelity was not needed. Bandersnatch and Jaberwocky are from another Lewis Carroll text and added the horror element. This movie is terrific. The blending of live action and cg animation is seamless, Johnny Depp is better than can be imagined, the Red Queen is wonderful. The plot is not the standard Alice in Wonderland, but combines adventure with pieces of the original story. The only feature of the movie that disappoints is Anne Hathaway as the White Queen. She is just not right.
My family and I would all see this again in a heartbeat.

The visuals were very much worth the IMAX 3D and you felt like you were actually in it. It was just as you would always imagine wonderland to be.
The story was good, but would have been better if Alice's character didn't seem like she was high and had attention deficit disorder at the same time. Her acting was atrocious.
Johnny Depp was amazing as usual, but at certain time you could not understand what he was saying because he would switch accents. I think that was intentional though.
Helena Bonham Carter was most definitely the star of the show. She did a fantastic job playing the red queen and was quite comical.
Overall, it was an enjoyable experience. I'd go see it again, but not acting, for the story and visuals.

The 3D aspect was more subtle than I expected, but definitely enhanced the viewing experience of Burton's Alice in Wonderland. It made the vegetation stand out in an otherworldly manner and having the depth in several scenes gave the setting its needed vastness.
Carter portrayed the Red Queen well, while Wasikowska evidently was directed to play a little less forceful Alice than I wanted.
The animation flowed together well. Seeing cards marching and chessmen for an army was fun. I was wondering how all the fantasy would come together and I was impressed with the integration.
Overall the acting was good, the fantasy fantastic, and the show a great night of entertainment.

I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed the new Alice in Wonderland. Johnny Depp, Helena Bonham Carter, and Tim Burton make an excellent team, and all the characters work so well in the movie. we took our 5 year old daughter and she loved it. she was batting at the objects that seemed as though they were going to hit you in the face. I would recommend this movie to anyone wanting a good laugh, great adventure, and great characters. Johnny Depp was excellent in his role as the Mad Hatter!

We saw the movie IMAX 3D and it was very beautiful. The 3D is not overwhelming, but simply adds to the enjoyment of the film. For a Tim Burton movie, we found the store to be a bit weak. The characters Hatter, White Queen and Red Queen are written and performed so very well. There was nothing about Alice that drew us in to her story ... she was the same whether she was happy or sad.
Overall, it is a fun movie with endearing characters and beautiful, fun visuals.

It wasn't nearly as scary as I thought it would be, it was very entertaining. My kids (age 5,7,12) all enjoyed it and loved it. It had a really great story line, loved the costumes, visually amazing. Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland is beautiful, dark, and creepy. The performances by Johnny Depp, Helena Bonham Carter, Crispin Glover, and Anne Hathaway are everything you could hope for, and Mia Wasikowska (of HBO's In Treatment) is stunning as the ethereal-looking but very tough 19-year-old Alice. Don't expect a simple retelling of the Lewis Carroll story, though. This movie takes place 13 years later and tells a much darker story. The special effects are amazing, there's lots of action, the new characters (esp. Bayard the Bloodhound) are excellent additions to the story, and the ending is satisfying but not formulaic. Visually stunning film, with complex and engaging characters. The complementary use of graphics, color and music creates a movie that is comical, and endearing. Has some action and images that smaller children might find frightening and too intense to understand. I would caution parents taking children under the age of 8.

I enjoyed the movie itself but not the 3D.The story was good and the characters were awesome but the 3D wasn't done very well and I think if i were to watch it again...it would be without the 3D. Overall it was a good movie.

Tim Burton, Johnny Depp, and the rest of the cast did sn excellent job on this Alice in Wonderland Sequel....I absolutely loved it. The special effects and graphics are awesome! A must see in IMAX to fully appreciate.
