This is one of my favorites! Most of all, I have been collecting Cheshire Cats for over 30 years, so I have deep feelings for the story. And I have always believed the cat was not an evil cat and this story line proves it! I also loved the movie because of the story in general and the wonderful and brilliant images in the filming. The characters were absolutely wonderful! I loved it!

Screenplay was well written and smooth. Blending of human characters and graphics was awesome. CGI is revolutionary. Loved the animals characters and the villians. My imagination was nothing compared to Burton's when I read the books. Great movie..will get on DVD.

The movie was amazing! I love all the rich colors on the characters and their waredrobe. The movie actually wraps around Alice and how she needs to ultimately be confident in who she is. So through the movie you can see this happening. All the other characters just make it all the more exciting to watch. Johnny Depp was wonderful, like always. I think the 3D experience is worth it too. It feels a little like being in a disney ride.

This adaptation of Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking glass was a perfect use for the Imax 3D format. The subjects were beautifully focused with just the right amount of depth to appear that it was part of the scene and not floating apart from the other elements of the scene. I was particularly impressed with the floating particulate matter that was visible, but subtle enough to not drag your attention from the action.
If the last time you saw a 3D movie was the mid-80's, take a deep breath, reach DEEP into your pockets, and shell out the dough for a true fantasy experience!

Alice in Wonderland is a classic that most Americans are familiar with, however this version (especially in 3-D) blows away all pre-conceived expectations. It was like hearing the story for the very first time. The acting was amazing- especially considering the abstract nature of the characters- but most impressive was Burtons use or color and light- it was like gothic-neon; the film bared unique characteristics in comparison with Burtons usual M.O. This is an amazing movie, the story is appropriate across cultures, and the context is appropriate for all ages.

This movie was thoroughly enjoyable but not for the very young. I would recommend not taking your 10 and under to see it as there were a number of scary images. My 4 year old loved Alice in Wonderland. A few scenes in the movie were a bit gruesome but it is a Tim Burton film. The actors did a great job, The Red Queen, Mad Hatter and Alice made the movie. As with all movies you'll have to see it; don't worry about what people say, you might love it, we did.

Tim Burton did a wonderful job of portraying the characters from the book. What most people don't realize is that this version of the film brings together the original book and the sequel "Through The Looking Glass". The characters were so real - even the imaginary ones. I loved Alice - she was so relateable.
I would reccommend this to all of my friends. It really isn't as much of a kids' film though. I could see where they would enjoy it, but there is so much more to offer to it.

This Alice in Wonderland did not have enough Wonder. It was terribly predictable and for a sequel, it lacked enough new characters to make it interesting. The characters that were present were not developed and because of that fact you did not care much about them or the outcome of the film. Johnny Depp's talent was wasted on a supporting role that actually needed to be featured more.
Overall, I felt it was a disapointment from some otherwise very talented directors, producers and actors.

Lewis Carroll's book 'Alice's Adventures in Wonderland' is a dreamy journey of comical curiosity. The characters are confused, lovable, mean or mysterious. It fills the mind with playful and amusing images. However, this movie is dark, violent, and disturbing. It is filled with scary and disgusting characters and situations. Instead of feeling "curiouser and curiouser", I was sadly left feeling "furiouser and furiouser." The screenplay is not true to the book, nor to the spirit of our beloved Walt Disney and the empire he intended to leave behind. I would NOT recommend this movie to anyone who is a true fan of Lewis Carroll's literary work, nor to anyone interested in preserving the innocence and magic of childhood days.
