The story line was great and it was very deep yet easy to understand. The graphics were very good in 3D, especially the caterpillar/butterfly. The directing was phenomenal; you could tell that Tim Burton did his homework.
Not really a kids movie, a little creepy and scary at parts.
My only problem was that the directors left a few little things unanswered that would have made the story a little more complete.

Seeing this movie with 3D IMAX made it all the better! It was really just amazing to me. Tim Burton, you've done it again.
And Avatar can go suck it. It's a rip off of Pocohontas; same story and all. This was by far better!

The graphics are awesome, as expected from a Tim Burton film, and the storyline was cute however I felt that it lacked in character development. Plus the drama and suspense of the movie were short-lived, but in saying so I recognize that this is a Disney movie after-all, so in keeping with the genre of family films it did a good job.

Tim Burton's character adaptations in "Alice In Wonderland" were genius, with all the colors and 3D enhancements providing a smorgasbord for they eyes. Mia as Alice was memorable as a grown-up Alice, experienced in the land of Wonder, causiously optomistic about her potential experience. Johnny Depp, while getting top billing, was great as supporting the cast in Alice's travels. This is wher Tim's expert filmmaking showne.\ I thoroughly enjoyed the trip!

If you saw Avatar and you're planning on seeing Alice... with the same expectation of the thrill of the imax 3d experience, I would knock that expectation down a couple of notches. If you think you're going to see a typical Tim Burton flick, know that it's going to be a little "lighter" than most of his previous work. I found myself laughing because of the cuteseyness more than the cleverness. All in all, I was a little disappointed. Sorry.

Im not a professional movie critic but this wasnt what I had hoped for. There were times I couldnt even understand what they were saying. The books werent depicted truthfully which kind of made the movie confusing. I enjoyed the movie. I would buy it. However I think it could have been better.

Movie was just OK, Story was all over the place, 3D was not very detailed compared to AVATAR IMAX 3D. The cat and the butterfly were good 3D, the rest just SO SO. Movie was full on young and adolesent kids, some cried most of the movie, Popcorn sucked, was mostly all small broken pieces obviously left over from the bottom of the bag. Very Disappointing for the $31. entrance fee, and the additional 45 minute wait in line just to get in.

If you are a fan of Tim Burton's work then this movie will not disappoint. The usual odd characters fill Wonderland and Johnny Depp is in his Mad Hatter glory. I never read the Alice book so I can't say if it is true to the story but the story told on screen was engaging. Anne Hathaway was the low, low, low point for me (total miscast) but otherwise, reasonable length for the film, beautiful to look at and fun for families, though I would say it might be a little scary for those under 5.

Those who want a live action version of the original alice in wonderland will be soarly disappointed. This movie is a take on the looking glass wars which were inspired by through the looking glass, and have very similar characters. The movie takes you on a wonderful adventure through Underland, bringing old friends like the mad hatter and the door mouse along for the ride.

Sorry...I really, really wanted to like this movie. Unfortunately, it's a miss on many levels. If my 9-year old son and I hadn't seen it in IMAX 3D it would've been a complete waste of time and money. Yes, it was visually stunning but I really felt like that's all it was. Seriously lacking in both plot and acting. Johnny Depp seemed to just be re-prising his role as Willy Wonka only in different make up.

Overall a dissappointment. Where Avatar used the 3D experience to enhance the story and visual appeal of the film, Alice in Wonderland did not. The destroyed village and surrounds landscape looked like the mountains of Southern California, not Victorian England. Johnny Depp carried the movie with his usual great performance. Alice was a likeable character.

I gotta be honest...it was not as good as I was expecting it to be. Maybe my expectations were too high but, it was missing that "magical" feel. I loved this story when I was a kid but I feel the book did not translate well enough in this film. Johnny Depp was brillant, obviously, but it was not enough to save this movie from a bad rating. BTW, it is definitely much too scary for children so parents, think twice before taking your kids.

As far as being an Alice in Wonderland movie, it wasn't so great, besides characters there was almost no relation. Also seemed like Disney was really looking over the making of this movie because there wasn't really a Tim Burtonness to the movie. But besides that it was a great movie.
