The colors and vividness were great, but the actual movie wasn't a lot to brag about. My daughter who is 19, and LOVES Johnny Depp, wasn't impressed with it either. Not that much action, or really any adventure. I think Avatar in 3D IMAX was great and I haven't see any good movies since then. Anne Hathaways character was really weird. It seemed like she was in a daze during the movie.

I was so happy that this movie was so good! I LOVE Johnny Depp and Tim Burton and worried that this movie could never live up to my high expectations. Well, I shouldn't have worried because, as usual, they both did a stellar job! I wasn't thrilled with the effects for the Red Queen or the Knave, but otherwise the film was visually wonderful. And story-wise I was more than pleased. I felt that this movie managed to put true feeling into Alice in Wonderland, something that is often lacking I am planning to see this a second time in theaters, which I never do.

This movie was great. Took my girlfriend, friend, Mom & Mom's friend and would do it again! First time seeing a movie in 3D at the IMAX and it did NOT disappoint! I saw the movie in IMAX 3D and it was quite breathtaking. The theater was HUGE. We arrived a bit late and missed some of the previews, and unfortunately had to sit upfront in the second row. I wish I could have been seated farther back but nevertheless the experience was amazing. Surround sound, big screen, 3D...I wouldn't see this movie any other way. Makes you apart of the movie. I even had a bit of motion sickness lol. If you truly want to visit Wonderland see it in 3D IMAX!

My 17 year old daughter wanted to see this. We were out of town so we went to an Imax theater in Columbus, Ohio. I had seen some negative reviews and wasn't expecting to like the film but was pleasantly surprised. If you're not used to Tim Burton films, you might not "get" this picture. Characters are all strange but..it is after-all, a fantasy movie. Special effects are AWESOME! Some scenes might be too intense for very young children (under age six). Older kids should enjoy it. Recommend seeing it at an Imax theater or at least in 3d.

The movie was grea. A bit overhyped, it still didn't disappoint. Johnny Depp was the usual amazing actor and the idea that Helena Carter outdid him is overstated as well. It was a lot of the same thing from her and the same expressions. My only issue was the progression of it. It seemed to move from one thing to the next, to the next without a moment as a watcher to wonder and think about it. It seemed rushed and inevitable. It didn't have those setback moments or anything. The images were absolutely amazing and the fight scenes were hardly epic. If you have amazingly high expectations of this movie, you'll be disappointed. Lower them, don't expect a well told story. The story seems a bit forced.

First I would like to say, it is sooo annoying to see a lot of people comparing it to Avatar. It isn't Avatar. In my opinion, this movie was way better in IMAX 3D than Avatar. The movie was fun and I loved all the details of Wonderland.
Another thing I see people saying is that the story made no sense and they thought it dragged on. If you are expecting some story that is perfectly sane, then obviously you have never read Alice's Adventure's in Wonderland. People are also complaining about the fact that it is not true to the book. This is NOT a remake of the book, it is a sequel.
Overall, a very watch worthy movie and definitely see it in 3D! I loved it and look forward to seeing it again.

Tim Burton & Johnny Depp. Isn't that reason enough? Yes, it IS a Disney movie, although it's the edgiest Disney movie I've ever seen (ex. realistic looking heads floating in a moat.) Anna Hathaway's White Queen was pretty flat, no doubt Disney was behind that casting move. EVERYONE else was FANTASTIC. Johnny Depp plays such an open and expressive character, he doesn't hide who he is one bit. Because of this, he has a certain vulnerability about him. I just wanted give The Mad Hatter a hug! RATING: 5 HATPINS (out of 4) WE'RE ALL MAD HERE!

Alice in Wonderland was a magical experience much like the mood ring Depp took his inspiration from. He was child-like & grown- up all at once as only Depp can be. How can he make you smile or laugh while the tears are welling up in your eyes? The Tweedles were ever so cute every time they appeared, like a shot in dark. I thought the updated, grown to womanhood, Alice, was fun and the whole thing guaranteed to be seen over and over to "get" all the nuances. Hathaway & Bonham Carter were wonderful in their queenly roles. I can't wait to see it again. There was a slight problen with bits of the audio or some of what Depp said. I am not sure which.

Poor use of orginal characters, less than impressive 3-D effects, and no character development. Need I say more? Way too dark and anticlimactic. Short of the obsession with poking out eyes, this movie enraptured my preteens. I loved it too. We see many 3-D IMAX movies. Most of them are fine. However, Burton worked his movie like a master. There is always something moving in the scene (dust or seeds) so that one's mind never normalizes and adjusts to the 3-D. You always see it there and not with the cliche objects popping out at you, but rather small details that continue to float as the action goes on. Depp is darling but Helena steals the film. And the details! Go see this. It lives up to the hype. We are waiting breathlessly for the sequel as Alice comes back "Through the Looking Glass"

I really enjoyed it! It's fun and visually pleasing, a bit creepy, but great for all ages! don't expect a complex, realistic, or even complete storyline though.

My 23 year old daughter and I went to a showing at an IMAX at 12:01 PM on 24th because we really expected a lot from this movie. The movie did not live up to our expectations. The 3-D effects were not of the same quality as AVATAR. The story was over too fast and we did not find the charachters fully flushed out. It was a good movie, but not a fantastic one. We expected more from Disney, Johnny Depp, and Tim Burton.

Loved it! Johhny Depp was amazing! Loved the impax 3D experience. Only negative comment is though it was perhaps a little scary for little kids.
