We went to see this movie with very high expectations from all of the hype leading up to it combined with it being a movie directed by Tim Burton and staring Johnny Depp. The movie was well done, and the 3D on the Imax screen is always worth it, but for me the movie didnt live up to its hype. I left the movie feeling dissapointed.

Seeing this movie in 3D was the only part of this movie that kept me entertained. The sets were well put together and stunning visually, but the costumes and make up felt awkward and a little too forced. The acting was sub-par at best.
I'm an avid Tim Burton fan and have been counting down to the release for months, but was very disappointed to discover that the over all feel of the movie was that a Disney monster came and threw up day glo make up and cheesy dialogue all over a Tim Burton movie. The dance scene and closing scene where Alice declines Hammish's offer really made the whole movie end on a sour note.

In both ways: the movie is amazing (picture), you have to agree that the imagination and technology blended really well here - on the other hand, the story goes as the book. There are not many jokes or moments of fun and a great drama to follow. It's unique [in iMax of course - I don't recommend watching anywhere else]

After tonight's viewing of Alice in Wonderland, I have a renewed love for the brilliance that is Burton. It far surpassed my expectations & makes up for the broken heart "Wonka" gave me..
It was funny, and touching and everything that I know and love about Burton Films. The actors all did an incredible job and added to the magic of this movie. Don't even get me started on the cinematography, it was beautiful...EVERYTHING was beautifully done.
If you have the chance, see this movie in #D it is definitely worth it.

The 3D was so amazing I thought I could touch the movie. I was mesmerized throughout the movie. Depp, Hathaway and all the other actors were wonderful. I especially enjoyed the victory dances!! Depp's dance caught me completely off guard. This was not the traditional "Alice in Wonderland" story and I am thankful. Tim Burton and Disney are a wonderfully dangerous combination and I can't wait for more. Do not stop the excellent work.

This movie was good. I went in with decent expectations. The movie almost seemed 'dark', with Tim Burton directing it and all, but it was good. Nobody should attend this movie thinking it will be like the cartoon version from decades ago. Helena Bonham Carter did a good job, as did J.Depp!

Just saw this last night in IMAX 3-D. WOWWWWW!!!!!!!!! What a mind-blowing experience!!!!!! I can not imagine seeing this movie any other way...would love to see it again this way, as I'm afraid 2-D would be a letdown after last night. The effects are not to be believed. And ALL the actors/actresses are at the tip-top of their game. Of course, I expect nothing less of Johnny Depp, but all the others are right there with him on the same level. WONDERFUL!!!!!!!!

I was so excited about this movie coming out and was not disappointed. I loved Depp but Bonham Carter was the real star I think. She was a wonderful red queen. My husband and I went to the IMAX 3-D and it was amazing!! we were even VERY close to the screen (because we didn't get there soon enough) and it was still amazing. I would sit farther back next time though - I'm sure it would have made the 3-D even better.
The movie was awesome! It had funny parts and parts that made my heart race. I was cheering for Alice and the White Queen. And, of course, Johnny was wonderful, along with Helena :)

IMAX is the only way to properly see Alice in Wonderland. Nice allusions to WD's children's version of old (the gossipy flowers especially were evocative); however, this is not a movie for young children, unless they are a lot tougher than I was at that age. I thought that the movie tried to bring in some comedy but they failed to succeed in that. The action parts of the movie were very good along with the storyline which was wonderful. The character were very dark yet I wanted to have some comic relief in the movie and didn't get it. Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum should have been much more funny then they were.
The 3 D effects were very good but the best effect was at the very end of the movie and could have been much more during the movie. Watch for scratched glasses as well!

This was a really good movie. I brought two 10 yr. old girls with and they really liked it too. The 3-d effects could have been better, but over all it was a great movie. I would definately go see it, no matter what age you are.

This is a great movie to see in the IMAX format. The sounds, colours and 3-D effects were awesome. The cast was perfect and the adaptation of the story was excellant. My kids loved it!

Excellent! Fun. Beautiful graphics. All the characters were protrayed well. Johnny Depp, or course, was superb! Mia Wasikowlska was remarkable. Anne Hataway, Helena Bonham Carter, and Crispin Glover were wonderful. All the wonder that should have been in this movie was there.
