Went with my 2 kids ages 9 and 11. They absolutely loved it. I thought it was visually entertaining but wasn't too sure about the storyline. The ending ties things up nicely with the original. Good for a fun movie night :)

I loved this story as a child. I was an avid reader. I was worried this would be too over the top but it was fabulous. The 3D was great and the story was very well visualized. The people playing the various characters were all suited to their roles. Love Johnny Depp always. Takes me back to my favorite Depp ...Edward Scissorhands. And Helena Bonham Carter was just fantastic.

Was better than I expected, Johnny Depp continue's to amaze me with the characters he portrays. I saw this in 3D the 1st time and the effects were great, but I had to go again and this time saw it in IMAX 3D and wow! The effects were truly amazing. I had great expectations for this movie and I was not at all disappointment! I took my 7 and 5-year-old and it was all around a wonderful family experience. My husband even said it was "killer". I highly recommend it. The story line is wonderful and the effects were delightful. We saw it in 3-D IMAX and my son and I were constantly jumping away from the floating motions.

This movie was great. I'm not sure if I would have liked it as much in 2D, but in IMAX 3D it was terrific.
Johnny Depp was great, as always and the 3D effects were really good.

It was quite good, dazzling video computer graphics, but I would give it 7 stars. However, Avatar Imax 3d would rate 8.5, so one can sense where I am about the movie. I loved the Cheshire Cat.... and of course JD and his little foot jig at the end was priceless. The plot was true to the book basically. I'd probably not wish to see it again, whereas I've seen Avatar twice already.

Johnny Depp was excellent in the role of Hatter. He once again stole the show! Mia Wasikowska did a wonderful job as Alice. Helena Bonham Carter was so annoying, (in a great way), as the Red Queen we just wanted to say "Off with her head!" We could have done without Anne Hathaway's big black eyebrows, but what the hey. It was definitely beautiful to look at, and a lot of creativity came into play with the background settings and the 3-D effects. If you are going to see Alice, it is well worth seeing in Imax 3-D.

I was VERY pleasantly surprised how Burton re-envisioned Alice in Wonderland. I feel the graphics were great & the story entertaining. I love all the actors that Burton brings in & the characters are usually colorful, fun, & maintain the twist of Dark humor he is so well known for.
I also love the fact that it was a continuation of the original story instead of a full-on reset. It does the original story perfect justice.
Reason for 4 outta 5?.. its really difficult for me to give out a 5-star. It felt a little dry and slow in some places & a bit predictable in others.
Still, i loved it and recommend people go see it!

This movie is very well done. Spectacular in IMAX 3D! My only problem is the eventual creation of Alice as a vengeful knight and a 21st century thinking liberated woman. Lewis Caroll would not be happy with this. Why go to all the trouble of the "period" costumes, etc. and then screw-up the story itself? Otherwise, it is great entertainment. Grade: B+

The special effects were amazing. Truly a treat for the senses. Fun for the entire family . IMAX 3D made this movie experience truly memorable. Enjoyed the cast /characters very much. The entire experience was outstanding. The sound, the 3D, the IMAX screen made the movie great. The movie itself would have stood alone without the technology as the best adaptation of this story. Johnny Depp is superb! The entire cast was perfect.

3d-IMAX experience was trully colorful and spectacular. Like to see more films in that format. Johnny Depp, Anne Hathaway, Mia Wasikowski and Helena Carter, enjoyed all their roles. Chesser Cat was hilarious. Must see for all. Thanks to Tim Burton.

I liked the movie much more than I thought I would. Believe it or not, I was not familiar with the Alice In Wonderland story. Even as a child, I don't recall much about it. So as an adult I went to this movie, not because of a familiarity with Alice In Wonderland, but because it was a Johnny Depp/Tim Burton movie, it was in IMAX 3-D, and my friends at work highly recommended it--even friends who I would have thought never would have gone to a movie like this. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to just sit back for a couple of hours and get "lost" in a visually beautiful, fantasyland of make believe that is known as "Underland."

Visually a fun movie, but not nearly as dark or mysterious as either Carrol or Burton. In the end I wanted more Burton and less Disney. The dialogue was unintelligible at times. The Hatter's changes in voice were not clear, either. Some cute moments. In the end the trailer was better than the film....

This movie was a disappointment. The 3-D effects were poorly done. It looked like the characters in the foreground were superimposed on a blurry background. Nothing like the natural 3-D look of Avatar. This certainly is not a movie for kids. It would be much too scary for my grandchildren. The story line was also confusing and poorly scripted. Overall, not my favorite by a long shot.
