Tim Burton scores huge with this captivating adaptation of material that seems perfect for his quirky and unusual filmaking style. Johnny Depp's predictably stellar performance as "The Hatter" was nearly eclipsed by that of the delightfully mean Red Queen played by Helena Bonham Carter. Mia Wasikowska's portrayal of Alice was equally as impressive and I'm sure we will be seeing much more of her for years to come. Fast paced and visually thrilling, the film never seemed to drag or linger in one place for very long. 3D visuals were excellent as was the sound in the IMAX format. Although the film is a Walt Disney release, parents should be aware of scenes and imagery that may be upsetting to younger children (under10). Highly recommended.

I completely enjoyed this movie.. very unique and colorful. the graphics were amazing. i totally suggest this movie for any Johnny Depp fans and anyone who loved Alice in Wonderland growing up. it was a great movie experience in the imax =)

Tim Burton conjures up another fantastical movie. Engaging for readers and non-readers alike. The movie was a visually stunning feast for the eyes that even in 2D would still jump off the screen at you. JD & his 100 personalities look as natural as they always do playing a fractured character. Alice is sublime. Helena & her head are larger than life. Crispin does creepy like no other & Anne sweeps thru the film like a sweet breeze. The animated characters are a magical delight (especially Ches.) There is nothing not to like about this movie unless you go into it with a closed mind. To those I say "feed your head" and eat & drink until you are stretched open to the possibilities of all that is wonderful about Alice in Wonderland.

I was delighted the whole way through the movie. I highly recommend the IMAX experience to viewers of all ages. I would go see it again. Johnny Depp is magnificent as always in a role only he could play. Helena Bonham Carter is also hilarious.

This movie is a fantastic film for anyone with an imagination or open mind. Me and my boyfriend, who are total personality opposites, saw this movie together. He was not as big of fan as me. I found it exciting and it captured by attention. He thought it was weird and painful to sit through. I think if you are closed minded and need everything to make perfect sense- this movie is not for you. But if you a creative, imaginative, colorful side- you will LOVE this movie.

Alice returning to Wonderland is a great concept. That way Tim Burton could do pretty much what he wants with the story line without "messing up" the original - and it works. The entire cast is fantastic. The 3D was good, although I think it fell a little short of Avitar 3D, but it was close, and still enjoyable to watch. I would highly recommend this movie to others.

This film is a lot of fun to watch, especially to those endeared to Lewis Carroll's books and characters. While not a re-telling of either story, theto create film merges the characters and themes of "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass to create one world. Mia Wasikowska's performance was excellent as an older Alice and Anne Hathaway is fantastic as The White Queen. The visuals are awesome. The one disapointment I found in the film was Johnny Depp's Mad Hatter who was neither written with the depth the film seems to attempt to give him nor performed well. It was kind of an odd mix between Depp's Jack Sparrow and his Willy Wonka and was not the strong, original performance one expects from Depp.

Overall AMAZING movie!! I was completely captivated the entire time. However, the movie was extremely over publicized. Not because it wasn't worth it but because I arrived an hour in advanced and still had a line of 200 people in front of me waiting to get it. Luckily, I purchased my tickets a week in advance. The cast did an amazing job, and Wonderland continuously caught my attention with it's fantasy dream world atmosphere. As always, Depp completely nailed his role.

I generally despise going to the theater, paying all that money and getting sleepy in a dark room. I was kind of interested to see this movie, but had my reservations. I am glad I went! This was an EXCELLENT movie and the 3D IMAX made the experience just amazing. Well worth the money and I would definitely pay to see it again! I can't wait until the DVD is released. I will certainly be purchasing this as well. I would recommend to all of my friends!

This movie was really great, especially in 3D IMax. The story line was excellent, the characters very well played and the artistry phenomenal.

The new movie version of Alice in Wonderland is a great extension of the Lewis Carroll stories. It gives movie watchers everything they expect, from the white rabbit & the mad hatter, and then thanks to Tim Burton, it goes well into another realm. The story is captivating from beginning to end, and the quirkiness of the subject lends itself nicely to Burton's style. I would caution that very young children might be a bit afraid during several scenes, but everyone else in the family will thoroughly enjoy it. A Must See!
