I took my 12 year old grandson to see Alice in Wonderland IMAX 3D. This movie was great! Imax 3D was worth the extra money. It was almost like you were in the movie! We both loved it! Johnny Depp did his usual phenomenal performance! I would recommend everyone to go see this movie! Well done and the special effects were off the chain! It was action packed and very entertaining. I would go see it again.

My daughter and I saw Alice in Wonderland yesterday in Digital Imax. It was, to say the least, quite amazing. Anyone who expected this movie to be "exactly" like the original has obviously never seen a Tim Burton movie. It was Tim Burton perfection! (Were they expecting a Disney remake?)
Helena Bonham Carter was awesome as the Red Queen. My daughter giggle hysterically at the White Queen's weak stomach.
The movie was very entertaining!

Rather slow --would have liked more 3D impact especially for an Imax presentation. A rather flat performance in general - not a lot of emotion or excitement. Fun to watch the wardrobe/makeup adaptations. Will always go to see Depp--- amazing how he can come up with all his different personas!

I went with my 12 year old son and although he thought it was OK I was of the opposite opinion. I was looking for something along the same lines as Avatar with the 3D effects . It totally fell well short of that in fact they should have saved the money and went to reg film. Johnny Depp was Willie Wonka with a different wig and a speech impediment .......All in All
BORING!

Being a Lewis Carroll lover, I was sceptcal, but Burton et al.do something wonderful here, and fully in the spirit of the originals.
Setting this more than a decade after Alice's original adventures, everything and everyone looks older, and the fantasy storyline is likewise more mature and darker, but the story is well connected to the original.and equally engaging.

From a Graphic stand point, excellent! Loved the Cheshire Cat, actually the best character. Loved the "Mad Tea Party" with the Mad Hare. LOL he was funny as heaven. BUT, some inconsistencies in the storyline. Hollywood always tends to stray and incorporate a modern twist to appeal to the masses(idiots). Depp does the futterwacken, WTF was that needed for? Alice does the same thing, it almost looked like she's Crip walking. WTF? I hated the White Queen, Hathaway sucked. She cant act anyway. why was she there?

The movie started out a little slow ..but within a matter of minutes I was totally engrossed .... Alice was great, Helena perfect role for her, Johnny Depp was well I love Johnny I could hear a little of Jack Sparrow in his voice .. This is a typical Tim Burton movie..........I'm ready to see it again AND get the Blue Ray - also the 3D was like old 3D which I loved -- compared to Avitar 3D .. Alice was MUCH better

Great story, wonderful characters and acting and a must see in 3D! Truly enjoyable! I'm glad We opted to see it in Imax. Johnny Depp is amazing as usual, Helena Bonham Carter delivers the laughs, Anne Hathaway nailed it and Newcomer Mia Wasikowska is a gem. Way to go Tim Burton! My Husband and Friend would also agree completely with this review!

I almost fell asleep 3 times during this film. Much of it seemed 2D. The story was a drag. It didn't even come close to the original. If I could give it zero stars I would. The colors seemed washed out at times. Depp mumbled a lot. I can only assume that he's been the focus of the advertising because they knew he'd be the one chance at getting people into the theaters. Don't waste your money, on 3D. The original was the best.

Though the story/plot line of the movie was a bit lacking in depth, the acting, characters, and visuals more than make up for it. All elements that have become beloved from the original story are retained and enhanced, while Tim Burton's macabre visions abound throughout the film. As one of my favorite directors, he did not disappoint and anytime he works with Johnny Depp, it's a safe bet the movie will be a great one. Additionally, IMAX 3D is well worth the price to experience this movie in the best way possible.

After seeing Avatar 3D IMAX, I wondered whether Alice In Wonderland's 3D effects would be comparable - they were! Johnny Depp is excellent as the Mad Hatter, and the Queen of Hearts and all of the other characters are hilarious. I definitely recommend this movie for 3D movie goers especially.

This was the best Tim Burton movie to date. The story was different enough from the original to hold your attention. Johnny Depp was his uasual incredable self but so was the rest of the cast. As for the 3 D it was worth the money especally on I MAX. Still I'm not ready to go buy a 3 D TV. No 3D is worth that yet. Anyway I would recommend this movie to everyone and anyone, great entertainment.

I was up for a fantastic movie. It was not. It was just okay. The sound in the IMAX was too loud and alot of the dialogue got lost. Heard alot of people saying "what did he say?" It would not have lost too much in the regular theatre. Not worth the additional money. Nowhere near the excitement and visual splendor of AVATAR. My husband is pissed off I dragged him to see it.

Alice in Wonderland is one of Tim Burton's best films. I saw it at IMAX 3D with a 5 and 8 yr old. They were riveted the entire movie. I love the way it referred back to the two books, but was a new story. Most negative comments I have heard were either people thinking he was deviating from one book or the other, which was intentional...or too violent for kids. My girls did not even flinch at the heads in the moat or scary parts. I think this is because Alice stayed brave through it all. The message for kids was good too. Alice not only learns to embrace thinking outside of the box, but finds the strength to stand up to other's expectations and be herself through her journey in Wonderland, Just excellent and the 3D is worth the experience.

My two teenage daughters and I all walked out saying the movie was just okay. 3D was good and we are not sure if the lint, fuzzies and other specks on the screen were due to the film quality or the individual theater we were in. Entertaining but not one we will go see again.

This is not a movie version of the novel, rather a continuation of both Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass. Fans of the books will find many nods to both the books themselves and the history behind the books. Fans of Tim Burton will not be disappointed. Visually, this movie is brilliant and the story is entertaining as well. I was fortunate to see it in IMAX 3D, which is always a treat.
People expecting to see a revamping of the 1951 Disney cartoon, which did not follow the books closely at all, will be disappointed.
Go to this expecting to see a new twist on the Alice in Wonderland story.

Its a very mellow movie.
The sounds quality at the theater i watched it in wasn't that great. Some of the dialogue i couldn't hear as well as the music. That took away for the experience especially because it was in 3D.
The 3D was as brilliant as i expected it to be be but i liked it none the less. I might have actually enjoyed watching it without the 3D experience as well.
I wanted to get out of the house an watch a movie as opposed to watching movies online so i wasn't really in a critical mood.
All in all i enjoyed myself.

I thought the movie was pretty awful. The 3D was just a gimmick compared to Avatar, the story was typical Tim Burton, just over the top weird. You couldn't understand about a third of the dialog. That being said, the 8 year old and 7 year old girls I took loved it, otherwise it would have gotten 1 star.

The movie takes over where the book leaves off. Alice is transported back to Wonderland as a young adult to help the Madhatter (Johnny Depp) and friends overthrow the Red Queen (Helena Bonham Carter) and return rule of Wonderland to the White Queen (Anne Hathaway). Visually the movie is brilliant! Tim Burton has created a masterpiece that transports you to a different place. The movie is a perfect length - under 2 hours - and moves quickly while keeping the audience entranced.

The Alice story line was good, but very basic. Avoid proposal by taking a trip to 'Underland' for self discovery and empowerment, come home and have everything figured out. I enjoyed the movie, but thought it just needed a bit of something more.
3D IMAX was probably worth it.
